I started it and am finding it a tough read. That is, the themes of abuse (Quilp & Mrs. Quilp) and neglect (Nell & her grandfather) are getting to me.
Q. Is a sadist and verging on a pedophile, I think. Don't know if I can stay with this for 400 more pages.

Just finished c. 14. Kit met the Witherden family.

I didn't realize that Nell was 14. I thought she was about 7 or 8. She seems a bit young for her age.

I finished reading the book yesterday. My favorite character: Richard Swiveller.

Oh boy. I forgot about this book... I've got get this group into gear if I can overcome laziness factors.

I'm about to finish it in a week
