Mmmm, same here. Not a big fan of those.

I really enjoy writing in general, so....researching things and puting them into an essay is fun. :)

WELL I HATE NARRATIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Essays are so much easier. I can't say I love them, but I prefer (like Kitt) persuasive essays. I'm awesome at them. Narratives are boring and I hate when we take state tests with writing because they give you stupid prompts E.G. "write about a time you were happy" and I'm like seriously? I'm a 7th grader, not a 2-year-old!

i don't. i even enjoy it sometimes. i just hate state writing because it's dumb, especially narratives. but at school we get really good topics, like the ones in my groups.

I like some essays. I don't like the ones, oh what are they called? expository? Maybe? I like narratives okay, but I love persuasive (if I can choose my own topic). If it's about something that enrages me, I go on and on and on (like if it's about abortion or environmentalism). It's so easy when you're supposed to write one for school and you're assigned with a topic like that.

Was that a sincere okay? or was it like an oookayyyyyy kind of okay?

i hate writing essays. the only to i ever write them is for standardized testing and it's always a stupid prompt like 'write about your favorite bug or insect'!

neither do i! so i wrote about the life cycle of a butterfly. i got a good enough grade to pass.

I AM AN ANDROID AND ANDROIDS DON'T HAVE FEELINGS SO I CAN'T WRITE ABOUT THOSE STUPID PROMPTS!!!!!! AND ANDROIDS CAN'T GET CHALLENGED!!!! WATCH YOURSELF SOME STAR TREK!!!!

I get prompts like that too. How are we supposed to write 5 paragraphs on a time when we're surprised. They always make us write a prompt like that WITH a thesis statement! That makes it that much harder!!!!!! ugh.

Ditto Emiy's comment. Actually, it depends on the prompt. I almost always get points docked off for a bad thesis statement after I followed all the correct directions!

It depends. If its something pointless to write about then no. If its fun ish, then sure.
