If an author uses a pseudonym or goes by multiple names such as P.B. Kerr and Philip Kerr how are we to handle this? Right now it appears that all the 'kids' books are written by P.B. Kerr but are listed under Philip Kerr. Any thoughts here? There is a librarian note that P.B. Kerr's books are under Philip Kerr and I did add a link and note in the author profile, but wasn't sure if the kids books should be moved to P.B. Kerr or not.

It looks like adding the other name as a secondary author is not the preferred way to go: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7...Any other thoughts here?
That's an old thread, from 2008/2009. There's a more recent one (from 2010, I think) in which Otis agreed is was currently our best option.
Thanks rivka. I just found the newest?? one here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/4.... I think this must be what you are referring to. So what it seems to me then is that all the kids books under Philip Kerr should now be moved to P.B. Kerr but can leave Philip Kerr as an extra author noted as a pseudonym. Is my understanding correct?
I wouldn't suggest that, actually.
It's mostly useful to do that when specific books have been published under both names, as this allows the editions to be combined. I would just link each of the author profiles to the other (with links in the author descriptions).

It only leaves you with an empty profile, if you removed P.B. Kerr. All the books should have been left with the original author, but had the *other* name added as a secondary name. P.B. Kerr should have Philip Kerr listed as a secondary author...Philip Kerr should have P.B. Kerr added as a second author.
Not sure what you mean Beth. When you click the link I put above - there is an empty author profile for P.B. Kerr.
Oh - I think I see. P.B. Kerry needs to be put back as a secondary author for those with that name listed as the author.
If they originally were listed with P.B. Kerr as the primary author, put them back like they were, with P.B. Kerr as the primary author. Then, list Philip Kerr as the secondary author.
