Hello all,

I'm a freelance writer and reporter ... and now, I can add author to the list.

My blog http://www.DisturbedUniverse.com is an attempt to chronicle my attempt to market my book, Towards yesterday. Self publishing is a lot more complicated than most people expect, hopefully my blog will help ease the way for those authors who come after us.

I blog about lots of things, books, reviews, blog hops and every post begins with the letter "B" for book of course!

The first chapter of my historical novel, 'Tom Fleck' can be read on my blog.
There is also poetry and a gallery of kiln-fired enamels plus lots of pictures taken around Yorkshire and elsewhere on my travels through Britain.

I always return a posted visit.

Check out this great blog--she talks about how blog hopping has become a powerful way of advertising, and something I have noticed--I never click on ads that pop up, do you?

I also write for a website called Open Book Society where we review novels along the genres of supernatural/fantasy/sci-fi/paranormal/urban fantasy/paranormal romance. I can't see my blog followers on my computer, but tomorrow I will look up all my followers and follow back!

I just created my very first book blog! I would love for you guys to check it out and give me some advice/feedback. Following/commenting is also greatly appreciated.

Also, I need to know how to put book ratings on my posts like on Goodreads, and where I can get GR and Librarything Follow buttons. Obviously, the layout isn't complete yet (beware: it's very messy right now).

I'll also be wanting to review books, and conduct interviews, giveaways, and blog hops on the site with authors as soon as I have everything figured out.
