Change of Heart discussion

My 1st book I read this trimester was called Change of Heart, by Jodi Picoult. The main characters are Shay Bourne, June Nealon, Father Michael, and Maggie. It’s about a man who was accused of murdering a woman’s husband and little girl while he was constructing their new nursery for the baby they were preparing for. He is found guilty by a court and sentenced to death and has to wait years and years for everything to come into place for his execution day. But over the years the child June Nealon was pregnant with through that past event ends up having a heart condition and eventually needs a heart transplant. Shay Bourne now insists on giving up his heart to the little girl, whose family he was accused of taking away before his execution. Along the way he meets his spiritual advisor and lawyer to help him on his way to make his final last wishes come true. This is a good book for anyone who is interested in law, religion, or medical interests.
