The school bell at Edge Ridge High School rang as class was in session.
"In your seats, please!" The lax Marine Bio teacher called, tapping her heel on the desk since her feet were already up anyways.
Eric had to stifle a laugh as he sat down with his friends, turning to the front as the school day started.

Freja burst into chuckles, putting her bag on her desk and her Gameboy behind it. She had a speed-run to do, dammit!
Roy smiled. "Free period...I should hit the pizza place. Or something..." He shrugged, lighting a smoke and stepping outside.

Kate sat down at a desk. She had tried to stay neutral for a few weeks after she died. Since she looked like she was around sixteen she couldn't wander around town to do her job as a shinigami, so she got stuck in the highschool.
Damn. Never realized how suicidal these idiots really were.
She stared at a girl's deathdate with a disturbed expression, purple hair falling into her face.

Roderich sat outside the school, listening to his iPod. He watched some of the skipping students. "Tsk...They should be in class," he muttered.
"You little weasel. Even though Mari's nice, like hell she'd let you play video games in her class!" Eric snickered, nudging Freja with his elbow.
"Alright, shut up ya little mutts." Marina said in an exasperated voice. "Today we're going to do a lab. Like always. So, table captains, go grab the tubs from the shelf and get some water from the sinks. If any of you spill water on the floor, I'll mop it up with your face, got it?" She said playfully, grinning as a few kids gulped.

Kate stared down at the ring on her middle finger as the girl stood to get the water. Or... maybe Mariana kills her by using her face as a mop...
Echo walked over to the shelf and grabbed a tub. She turned on her heels and walked quickly to the sink. She filled the tub carefully and returned to her seat at the back of the classroom. From her seat, she could see a girl with purple hair looking at her hand. I wonder what's on her mind, she thought.
((Ah-- gracias I posted on Hell's War and I'm in the middle of IR))
Kate glanced up as the girl came back with the water. "Thanks." She tossed her a small smile.
"Whatever."
She sighed and looked back at Echo, waving. She had one other class with the girl.

Echo looked at the girl—Kate, her name was Kate—and waved back. She didn't know Kate particularly well, but something seemed off. She narrowed her eyes for a second. She mouthed, Everything okay?
((Not much-- in class))
Kate nodded with a warm smile. It was nice to have someone concerned for you once and awhile. But it wasn't like she was going to die.
Again.

Gabe lounged in a small pool of sunlight on the edge of the woods which bordered the southern edge of the town. He chuckled to himself as he watched the humans scurrying back and forth down there like ants. "This is going to be fun." He said dragging a claw-tipped finger down the trunk of the closest tree leaving a deep gash.
Sasha stared at his desk in boredom, not paying attetion in the least to what was going on in the class. His eyelids drifted lower and lower by the second, most likely from the lack of sleep the night before.Jellal lingered on the side of a road, lightly swaying in the small breeze. He had decided he would take a trip to his old high school for fun, even though it probably wouldn't be very amusing. He crossed the street once the traffic cleared, headed towards the building.
Roy rolled his eyes. "You guys should go to class, I guess." He said, shrugging. A few kids chuckled, asking for a light. He politely disagreed, looking up at the sky.
Roderich noticed the teacher. He's not a student... "Hey."
Roy glanced up. "Do I know you?" He asked, tilting his head. "You're too tall to be a student. Are you a teacher?" He asked with a shrug.
"Oh...No, I'm not. I just live near here." Roderich smiled at the man. "Are you a teacher?"
"No," he chuckled, looking away and rubbing the back of his neck. "I was just wondering."
"Ah." He said, taking a drag of his smoke. This man was odd...why was he so interested? Normally no one was interested in school. Roy blinked. Maybe I should go back inside...
He smiled a little more, looking at Roy carefully. I can smell his blood...
Marina checked her email once, then glanced back to see if the students had followed directions. Her eyebrow twitched when she saw Sasha dozing in the corner. Grumbling, she took her feet off the desk and stood up, retrieving her megaphone from the shelf. She cleared her throat once, then yelled, "SAHSA LOKE, WAKE UP!" as loud as she could.
Eric covered his ears not a second too soon before he felt the vibrations of Mari's voice rattle in his chest. "Man! Ms.Paulson, do you have it at Level 10 again!?" He asked, whistling as he tried to pop his ears.
"...Yeah. Oops." Mari replied carelessly, tossing the megaphone onto her chair. "Anyways! Get two textbooks from the shelf and prop up the tub so that it's like a slanting shore. We're going to simulate the currents of warm and cold water today, kiddies~ Be ready to stain your clothes with food dye~"

Freja snorted. "I'm NOT getting near any water today. I have my ipod, my phone, my gameboy, my gameboy advance, my DS, my psp..."
Roy frowned. "Are you alright, sir?"
Roy frowned. "Are you alright, sir?"
Sasha barely glanced up, sighing "Whatever," and leaning back in his chair, his hands clasped behind his head. Just the rest of this lousy, miserable year, then he'd be free...
"A-ah, yes." he looked away. "My apologies."
Marina sighed, seeing the lack of enthusiasm. "...Whatever. If ya'll don't wanna do the lab, then dump the buckets and do whatever. As long as you don't set the school on fire, I'll sign hall passes." She said, slumping over as her head rested on her desk. Such irritating kids... She whimpered, suddenly taking a liking to the thought of a free period.
"Nice!" Freja turned up the volume on her gameboy. "Eric, look at this! I'm jumping on Goomba's!"
Roy bit his lip. "Are you here for a job, perhaps?"
Roy bit his lip. "Are you here for a job, perhaps?"
"Erm, no...I don't...I was just..." he bit his lip. I can't tell him what I'm doing here... "...Going to the pizza place for lunch. Would you like to join me?"
He shrugged. "I guess, sounds alright." He said, glancing at his shoes. "I'm free for an hour, then I have to teach second period."
"Perfect." Why did I do that... "Let's get going." Roderich began to head towards the pizza place.
Roy followed after him, tossing his smoke, stepping on it. "So what is your name?" He asked with a smirk.
"Roderich," he replied, smiling at Roy nervously. "And yours?"
((Ooooooookaaaaaay, then..... um....))Genna knocked on the door quietly. She would be in so much trouble. Being late for the third time this semester... She shook her head. Those stupid boys...
Marina looked lazily at the door, waiting a few seconds before deciding to get up and answer it.
"Oh. Miss Genna. How nice of you to join us." She said sarcastically, opening the door wider. "I presume you have an office pass....?"
Eric glanced over at the door as Marina opened it, but he didn't pay any attention. "How far are you so far, Fre?" He asked, kicking his feet up on the desk as he leaned back in his chair.

Genie nodded. "Yes, ma'am. It's right-" She reached into her pocket and pulled out the pass. "here." She smiled apologetically and shrugged. "Sorry..."
Marina took the pass and glanced it over, sighing. "Yeah, well, you're not missing much. Hope you're wearing stuff you don't mind getting drenched in water." She said, allowing Genie to walk through.
Sasha yawned again, slumping across his desk. He peered out from between his crossed arms at the rest of the room sourly, not in a good mood.Jellal stood on the sidewalk across from the school, his head tilted slightly. I wonder if any of the teachers remember me. Ha, it'd be fun to mess with them.
Genie walked in. All she could tell was that there was water everywhere, few kids paying attention, and a lazy teacher.Again.
She shook her head and went to her workstation, quickly skimming the lab and getting supplies.
Kate almost jumped for joy when she saw Genie. "Hey, can I do the lab with you?" She asked, getting up and walking over. "I have a faulty lab partner."
Genie blinked, then looked at him. "Um, well I sort of have to..." Great, now I'm the nerd. She shrugged slightly.
"Uhg. Boooorriiiiinnnnngggg." Sasha sighed, running a hand over his bleary eyes. "Cant wait till I'm outta here," he muttered under his breath.Jellal had walked up to the school, and was lingering outside, glancing in a the classes. Hah. This brings back memories.
Genie smiled a bit. It may be boring, but at least the classmates aren't. She did the first step, then turned to Sasha and Kate. "What are you guys doing after school?"
