I'm reading Forsaken, the first in Leanna Ellis's Vampire-Amish trilogy, Plain Fear. So far interesting.
I'm reading The Blue Enchantress by M.L. Tyndall. Yay for pirate fun!Psst, Abbie - the title of the thread says 2001 :)

I've only read two of her books so far but I have really enjoyed both of them! I didn't love The Blue Enchantress as much as The Red Siren but it was still a great book.
I'm reading The Amish Midwife. I just finished reading the Amish Fiction group's book of the month, Abigail's New Hope, which was also about a midwife so I guess I'm on a midwife kick lol. All I know is I love Amish fiction and it had been awhile since I read one and picking it up felt like an old friend.

Honestly, The red Siren and The Raven Saint were my favorite in the series! But all her books are AMAZING!
Planning on reading The Amish Midwife, Abigail's New Hope, Sharp Shooter in Petticoats, Where I belong, Through my eyes, and a few others.
Lorie wrote: "I'm reading The Amish Midwife. And I have a non-fiction book about Amish midwives on my shelf as well. I'm reading Abigail's New Hope by Mary Ellis right now.
I have finished reading * A Thorn in her Heart* by Liz Curtis Higgs and started book two in the 4 book series...excellent !
Lona wrote: "I have finished reading * A Thorn in her Heart* by Liz Curtis Higgs and started book two in the 4 book series...excellent !"Lona, I loved this series! Higgs sure can write.
Hey everyone,
by M.L. Tyndall is free at the Amazon Kindle store right now! I haven't read any of her books, so I'm super excited. Just wanted to let everyone know :)
I just finished Sarah's Gift by Marta perry...was a great read! Cannot wait to read the next in the Pleasant Valley Series...Katie's Way. I also just finished Katie's Redemption by Patricia Davids...excellent book! Will be watching for more in this series also!
Myra Beth wrote: "Hey everyone,

Right now I've just finished Softly and Tenderly by Sara Evans, which was a real emotional rollercoaster. Now I'm on to The Protector by Shelley Shepard Gray, but I'm sad to say that I'm not enjoying it anywhere near as much as the first book. I'm at 39% on my Kindle so hopefully it'll pick up.
I've heard good things about Tyndall's novels. It'll probably be a while until I read it since I've got so many others on my shelves to read first.
I have just started "Here Burns my Candle" by Liz Curtis Higgs...so far I am not enjoying it as much as her other series...still waiting for the 3rd book "Whence Comes a Prince"...I think it is tied up in the Canada Postal Strike
Lona wrote: "I have just started "Here Burns my Candle" by Liz Curtis Higgs...so far I am not enjoying it as much as her other series...still waiting for the 3rd book "Whence Comes a Prince"...I think it is tie..."Lona, I definitely agree with you here. I've read both HBMC and Mine is the Night, and I agree that the trilogy is better. Hope you get the last book soon!

I'm currently working my way through some review books right now and have just finished A Vision of Lucy by Margaret Brownley, which I loved despite not having read the first two in the series! Now on to a Mennonite romance, Something Old by Dianne L. Christner.
I just finished a book I loved, Martha by Diana Wallis Taylor. It's a beautiful story of the biblical Martha and received 4 and half stars from Romantic Times. Right now I'm reading The Blessed by Ann Gabhart and Pieces of Light by Julie Cave. Both so different but really good.
I just started reading Dale Cramer's newest book Paradise Valley the first book in the serie's of Caleb Bender's Daughters .... going to be a good read for sure!
I just started Hummingbird Lake by Emily March.Looking forward to reading Heartache Falls also by Emily March
I finished Something Old by Dianne L. Christner, which I enjoyed but didn't love. I've started trying to read a YA Christian book, Lost in Dreams by Roger Bruner, but although I read the first book in the series earlier this year I'm really struggling to get into this one. So I've put that on hold for a bit and moved on to Love on Assignment by Cara Lynn James, which I'm really enjoying.
Reading The Glenbrooke Series by Robin Jones Gunn. Now on #2 "Whispers". Good series so far. I love a good story.
Holly wrote: "I just started Lady of Milkweed Manor by Julie Klassen. I'm really enjoying it so far!"That's a good one! I love her! I am reading her Girl in the Gatehouse now!
Sandra wrote: "Reading The Glenbrooke Series by Robin Jones Gunn. Now on #2 "Whispers". Good series so far. I love a good story."I liked that series! I've read it like two or three times! lol
I love her books too! I really like how she can weave a little mystery into her books. It's mysterious without being scary (I hate scary books/movies).
Next on my to read list are a couple of Barbour novellas set in Hawaii, after that I've got several of the Love Finds You in series next on my list. I'm also about to start I Beat the Odds: From Homelessness to The Blind Side and Beyond....so many books, so little time!!! LOL!!
Abbie wrote: "I am reading The Art of Romance by Kaye DacusI am enjoying it."I want to read that one! I have read all her others. It's looks good.
Holly wrote: "I just started To Win Her Heart by Karen Witemeyer!"Kristy I added that book to my wish list.
Holly wrote: "I just started To Win Her Heart by Karen Witemeyer!"I bought that the other day. Loved her other two books!
I'm just starting Candy Coated Secrets and so far it's pretty good. When I get caught up, I'm going to have to check out those other books. I love M L Tyndall's pirate books! :)
I just finished Second Chance Bride by Jane Myers Perrine. It was a bit disappointing in how the romance story was, (to me), a bit cliche. Although there was deceit and strife I was never on edge wondering and hoping that Annie and John could just somehow make a way to be together. It was painfully plain that no matter what they were obviously going to be together. Now I'm reading Blackmailed Bride by Mandy Goff. So far so good. By the end of the first chapter she had already wove a tale of deception, a cover-up, blackmail and attraction.
I just finished reading "A Billion Reasons Why" by Kristin Billerbeck and thought it was good / cute. I have a love / interest in big band / 40s - 50s style music and was attracted to that aspect of the book. Now I'm reading "Love on a Dime" by Cara Lynn James and it's good so far.
Kimberly wrote: "I just finished Second Chance Bride by Jane Myers Perrine. It was a bit disappointing in how the romance story was, (to me), a bit cliche. Although there was deceit and strife I was never on edge ..."I loved Blackmailed Bride! I just finished Carla Capshaw's The Champion and Reading Jillian Hart's Wyoming Sweethearts
I'm finishing up "Rekindled" by Tamera Alexander and plan on reading more of her works. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the 'prairie styled' Christian historical fictions out there, but Alexander has wonderfully surprised me!
