Omigod!!! I love this book, but I had no idea Derek ruled "a perilous shadow-realm." That's very Tolkien-esque! What is he, a ring-wraith?

I liked this book a lot too, I just wished for Derek to be a little bit more...idk..um forceful. He was so reserved, laid back, always in control..etc. I expected someone with his background to possibly be a little less reserved.

My favorite part was when he (view spoiler)[took her spare set of glasses (hide spoiler)]. **sigh**

I loved that part.

The ending makes me cry. After finishing the book for the first time, I immediately went back to that part when he says (view spoiler)["I would have given my life to have one more day with you, and tell you that" (hide spoiler)]. I reread the book this week, and it made me cry again. Just reading it here gets me all choked up.

It's been years since I've read this one, but I remember loving it.

I always dream of Derek. :p
