We all know that if we are a vampire, we have immortality. But would you really want to live "forever"? Do you think you would get sick of life or would it fascinate you to see how the world evolves over times?

I have actually thought about that and I really don't know. If you have someone you are deeply in love with to share it with or like in Twilight, a family or coven, I think it wouldn't be so bad. Besides, you get to see so much change!! And you have forever to learn whatever you wanted, do every job you've ever wanted, read tonz of books, travel the world, you can even watch over generations of your family and make sure they are safe. I think it would actually be really fun to an extent. I probably would get REALLY bored if I couldn't sleep or sad if I saw people I knew grow old and die. Or if the things that were happening ot the world were too much to handle. Who knows. Maybe if like there was some time limit. (Vampires live 600 years then die) Just an extended life period verses immortality and eternity.

hi, well um i think that i could handle it, if my i had someone like in TWILIGHT but if vampires were like in the [BLOOD BLOODS NOVELS:] they will be able to live until its time for them to go, but then they come back in a different generation. something like that. i guess it depends on your situation

Well, it would be horrible,watching everyone I care about wither and die, but I think I would do it anyway. It would be my curse.

Well yeah I suppose I would, I know it would be hard to watch other around me pass on. But I'd only do it if I had a companion I don't think it's something I could do alone though.

Vampires are not truly immortal. I would love to live over long periods of time having many relationships and magic powers. If it ever did become boring there are ways for vampires to destroy themselves. Cary

I agree. If I truly fell in love with someone who was a vampire and felt I could not live without them, then I would do it. If worse came to worse, I would have myself destroyed. Of course my battle with that would be where my fate lied after that choice. It's easy to think about when you're reading the books, but when I truly think about if I had to make that choice, I get kind of panicky. Of course, I've never had a vampire sweep me off my feet before, so who knows? :)

it would have it's ups and downs like watching the people you love die and then again if you had some one to shre it with it would be bareable so absolutly

i would love it most of the time i think. it just suits my personality. i would h8 2 c my friends and family who r mortal get old and die, but after that, i would get over it and have fun, mayb fall in luv with some1...

I wouldn't want to have to destroy myself though if I couldn't handle it anymore you know? The whole do vampires have souls debate would be put into question and have to be considered in the decision.

Seeing the world evolving through varying eras should be interesting.

I also have thought about it, and I don't really want to be alive when the earth comes to an end, whatever way it comes ^^.
I am bit of a loner, so I could easily pass the time by reading books and learn new things.
But living forever isn't really forever, the earth will end someday. Whether the sun will explode, a meteor will crash or the icecaps will melt and flood everything, everyone who wanders 'for eternity' will one day stop wandering.
I guess I would chose the eternity-option, just because I would love to know everything, and one lifetime just isn't enough.

I would not call Vampires truly immortal because they can be destroyed. I would like to live a long time. But sooner or later something would happen to destroy you. Vampires might live amazing lengths of time if they developed space travel. Because like the other girl said the sun will explode one day. Or you make enemies in life. Living for ever you have plenty of time to finally run into another vamp who wants to kill you. Cary

i agree with wat cary said, but i don't agree with all of sasja's doomsday things. flooded icecaps would not kill a vamp, as they do not need 2 breathe. they cannot b crushed by a meteor either.
