I'm almost finished with The House of the Vampire Queenthe second book in the Vampiric Housewife Series....so freakin good!!Ya know, I tried to go to Duck Pond Day, but by the time I got there it was PACKED...could not get any type of parking nearby...so since I had to pee so bad, I turned around and went home...lol How was it?
My husband is aching for me to read the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. I read the first one but had books on order at the library that I'm trying to go through.
I'm in a rut. I just got out the hospital and I don't know what to read. I read Don't Breathe a Word by Jennifer McMahon in 2 days in the hospital. I thought it was really spooky so my husband got 2 more books by her from the library. They are Dismantled and Promise Not to Tell. Should I read one of these or do you have another recommendation? My daughter took my kindle on a cruise with her. lol
I absolutely LOVED Don't Breathe a Word...it was a spooky, captivating tale! I have not read more by Jennifer McMahon, but I plan on it...I'm currently reading
, sooo freakin good!
I read George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones this summer and absolutely loved it! I can't wait to read the rest of the series! :)
I just finished "The ghost and mrs. McClure" the first book in the haunted bookshop mystery series. It was quick and fun. I'll have to read the series now. same author by the way wrote the coffee house mystery series. If you like a quick mystery read that kinda keeps you guessing almost to the end, this was it.
Melissa, it's non active because I don't think alot of people know about it. I tried to find a Long Island book group before I made this one. I couldn't find any. If you have any ideas on how to get more people, I would love to hear them.
Hi everyone :) hope you're having a good summer!! I'm reading Drop Shot by Harlan Coben (2nd in the series) and one that has a super long name about Renaissance Florence.
This is it: Fire in the City : Savonarola and the Struggle for the Soul of Renaissance Florence anyone a lover of Florence like me will enjoy it!

This group is so non active because no one really participates regularly. I'd love to have a monthly book chosen and a meeting to discuss, like a traditional book club. I haven't gotten any real interest. Please let me know if you're serious and I'll most definitely organize!Dobeedobeedeb@yahoo.com @starspring on twitter or facebook me!
I'm currenly reading Sworn to Silence a thriller!
I would be game, but I don't know about an actual meeting. We're all spread out. Do you mean here? If so, count me in! :)
Hi fellow long islander readers! I'm currently reading "Welcome to Last Chance" by Hope Ramsay. I mostly read romance with the rare mystery thrown in every now then.Nice to "meet" you all!
I'm reading a few books:Nightmares & Dreamscapes by Stephen King
The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas
Intensity by Dean Koontz.
Melissa, I just finished reading Dismantled by Jennifer McMahon. There is one more that I haven't read yet. Island of Lost Girls. I read Promise Not to Tell and Don't Breathe a Word too. I love the way she writes.
To everyone, if you have any idea who to get this group going, I'm all ears. I would definitely agree to a book of the month but it would be really hard to get all of us together.

^^I really loved that book, so creepily good!I will start reading
today on my lunch break =)Happy Reading Everyone!
I am reading All That Is Bitter and Sweet: A Memoir by Ashley Judd. It's a slow read because there are times you have to step away from it because of her childhood and what she has seen in other third world contries. It is definitely an eye opening book.
