The Hare with Amber Eyes A Family's Century of Art and Loss"
Looks interesting Sam!

I also like the whole Father/Son premise...especially with my little boy being due sometime in the next 10 days.

Just over the box you type in is a "add book/author" link. Click on that and type the name of the book/author. When you find the right book, press add.
Hope that helps.

Ghost Songthis book is by Sarah Rayne.
I hope this works..

When God Was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman
just bought it, so its on my to-read shelf :)

Patrick O'Brien's "Master and Commander." They combined two of his books including this one into a movie featuring Russel Crowe and Paul Bettany about 5 years ago. It didn't mention in the film that the doctor (Bettany's character) was a former Irish revolutionary.

Now I realise I was being stupid... the poll hasn't been created yet. Sorry! I'd like to nominate The Lovers as it's on sale for €4 in Tesco and all the reviews on goodreads are amazing... apparently it is 8th in a series but it should stand alone. I have a feeling I might be the only one who goes for it though! :)

Also, John Connelly is a great writer. I haven't read any of the Charlie Parker series, but I'm sure the book won't disappoint.

Would everyone be happy if myself and Vicki make the final decision on this? Keep in mind we both voted for The Road. If you're all happy to do that, I'll appoint a neutral member each month in the future to make the final decision in the event of a tie.
Let me know what you think?
It's a good choice. Bleak but well written and despite the horrors described in the book, it's ultimately an inspiring book.
I'm happy either way, I have read the Road and I have the Hare in my to read pile.

Promise I'll be on top of things next month! :)

enjoy the read,

I'll add The Hare with Amber Eyes A Family's Century of Art and Loss as a discussion folder...it did tie with The Road after all.
Voting is closed June 24th.
