Lol, I've heard Lebanon. Belated happy birthday! Hope you got loads of cool stuff! XDHi I'm Charmaine, but my friends tend to call me Char, so feel free to. I'm 20, (my birthday isn't for ages yet.) and I live in North Wales which makes me from good ol' Blighty!
Awesome! =D I like to read (obviously), write, listen to music, play video games, blog lots of ordinary things. My favourite band is Muse. Favourite colour is pink. I have a cat called Mischief. I love motorsport. XD I like to chat... a lot.
I think that covers all the bases. What about you? =D
Haha! I like Muse too. I have a very annoying sister that wants a very annoying cat she wants to name: Cookie (-_-) My favorite color is RED. I like to draw, sing, swim, dance, read (obviously). haha
Muse are awesome. What's your favourite song? I have a very annoying brother. My cat isn't annoying. Why does she want to name the cat Cookie? That's an awful name lol. =P I like singing to, but I'm like the world's worst dancer. XD
I don't have a favorite song. My sister is the best dancer in the world but the worst cat-namer in the universe. Do you have a nice voice? What's your fav song?
I used to be unable to choose my favourite song but now it's Stockholm Syndrome by the afore mentioned Muse. =D Well at least she has other talents that aren't cat naming. =P I've been told I do, but I don't think so. What about you? Are you any good at singing?
Actually I just won a band contest in which I sing :D So I guess I'm pretty good :P Nevertheless my favorite Muse song is "Super-massive Black Hole". Other bands I love: 30 seconds to mars... and the song that is stuck in my head right now is "Rolling in the Deep"
Wow. You must be. =D I love Supermassive Black Hole. I like 30 Seconds to Mars. I also like, Within Temptation, Fall Out Boy, P!nk, Green Day, a bit of everything really. I have Rolling In The Deep on my iPod, I prefer Chasing Pavements though. The song I have stuck in my head is Nothing Ever Hurt Like You, it's by James Morrison and I adore it. =D
I love that song too. It's so beautiful. It's not my favourite of his though. =D Which 30STM song do you like best? Mine's quite obvious because it's The Kill. XD
Yup I love it!!! And my 2nd best song of theirs will have to be: Hurricane! And the worst: Jupiter :/ BTW I am gna be attending their concert :D
Awesome. =D No I hate crowds so I don't really go to concerts and that. If I want to go I just buy the concert on DVD. It's not quite the same but it's still pretty good. =)
lol, I like Glee (kind of), Law and Order UK, White Collar, Dexter, Gossip Girl. Lots of other stuff that I can't remember off the top of my head. =P What about you?
Glee, Dexter, Desperate Housewives, Grey's anatomy, Vampire Diaries, Pretty little liars, 90210, Gossip Girl, Smallville, House, One Tree Hill, Nip/Tuck, 24... :P

Hi there! I'm Alex. I'm a scientist from the UK. My interests are basically reading, watching TV, listening to music and martial arts; although within that I fit in Twilight Imperium - which may the best board game ever made - and collecting and painting warhammer 40K / Necromunda.I'll give most books a go, although at the moment I'm on a bit of a historical fiction kick. But I tend to read sci-fi, crime and horror.
So yeah, that's me...mostly.
Hello!!
Nice to meet you too, Chris! Well, the last and current books are both from Ellis Peters' 'Cadfael' series. They're fairly entertaining, sort of medieval Agatha Christie. But before that I read Bernard Cornwell's 'Harlequin', which is the first of his 'Grail' series set during the Hundred Years war. I'm hoping to get the rest of the series soon and finish those off. I'm also hoping to get hold of his 'King Arthur' series - mostly because I'm a bit of a fan of Arthurian legend. How about you? What are you reading at the moment?
I'm Rea. It takes the French pronunciation, and really it should be written Réa. That means it's 'Ray-ah, not 'Rah or 'Ray or Ree-'ah. I'm 23, I'm British, living in the Netherlands, but conform to a mostly French culture norm. I'm a trained translator / interpretor, but now I'm reorienting to go into teaching.I also like Muse, but I prefer Knights of Cydonia. My favourite band is Rammstein - and it has been for about 8 years now. There's just something about that style of music, the German language and the singer's voice that all go really well together.
Other than reading I also write, knit, bake, cycle, swim and occasionally play various games. I also like Zumba but I'm not a very coordinated dancer! Horse riding is my life-long passion (I started going to weekly lessons when I was 3) but unfortunately I don't have the money for it right now.
Can't think of anything else to say right now!

I read the Grail trilogy in French several years ago. It's nice but my fav book among them is the 1st one!

Hey Rea nice to meet you. I encourage you to be a teacher it's a job I will always want to do: To see the spark in the eyes of the person in front of you when they finally understand really is an incredible feeling. I love horse riding I went once and I can't find the time to continue. Bummer

The spark is good, but then you also have to deal with the people who a) don't really want to be there or b) have no natural talent for the subject you're teaching and so have problems learning the subject matter! I've done teaching before, I enjoy it. :) Horse riding is one of the things I will always recommend everyone try to do at least once! I got to the point where I had a sort of special relationship with the two horses I rode the most that other people didn't have. They were both in their adolescence, and so were moody and threw fits from time to time. It's a real ego boost when one girl gets off the horse because it's jumping like a sheep and refuses to mount again, then you get on it and it acts like a perfect little angel!! XD
I haven't read Bernard Cromwell (yet) but I see him whenever I go to the shops, usually classed as 'guy-lit'(yes, my local bookstore has a 'guy-lit' section! Right next to the 'chick-lit' shelves.) He did a Saxon series, right?

Yes, I believe he did. Ummm, his Alfred the Great series I think. Certainly I recommend giving him a go. I read 'Agincourt' first, since it's a stand alone novel and you can get a good idea of whether you like his style etc. I try not to start on series of books, because even if I'm not a big fan I tend to want to finish the series anyway, so I sort of condemn myself to hours of reading I'm not enjoying much! :D
I think it's easier for girls to like guy-lit than it is for guys to like chick-lit. I like a lot of stuff that I suspect is aimed at a more male audience. The idea of starting with a stand alone is a good one. If they have it in when I next go to the store then I may buy it (depending on price). I certainly enjoy historical pieces! I'm like you, if I start a series, I often find myself having to finish it to know what happens next even if I don't like it much!
Oh hi, I'm Nouda :) I currently live in Malaysia. I've been an avid reader of English books since the first grade (pee-wee scouts series) =P My favorite genres include Sci-Fi, Fantasy and young adult though I do occasionally read other genres if I'm bored enough.
Hey, I'm Andrea, I'm 16 (17 on thursday!! :D) and I'm a book addict, I love to write and i also love to dance, sing, cook and do yoga. I live in Mexico and know how to make excellent home made tacos !
Hey Andrea, happy early birthday!!! We are almost the same age!! LOL! I love to cook too, and I love Tacos but I don't know how to cook them :/ What are your plans for the future?
Thanks! I dunno, wanna study psychology but I wanna be a writer. I actually have a finished novel, just checking it and will try to publish it. But writing doesn't get you that much money to live so that's why I'll study psychology, probably move to the US or Australia
I already posted before, I want to be a surgeon. I'll probably travel to the US, and I would like to teach and if I have any time I would try to publish a novel. It's quite ambitious but it's my dream! Hehe!! Did you vote on the poll?

I'll start:
Hey my name is Chris. I am 17 (just turned 17 last week) and I am from Lebanon (A tiny country on the east of the Mediterranean sea: doesn't show on a map :P)
