Mítico Criatura Academy discussion

Teacher: Laura

Held outside. At the edge of a lake. There is always a fire burning and it is always windy. The area is extremely fertile.

Lincoln walked out to the lake, he sat down and started sketching.

Laura
I look over at Linc. "Are you here for class?"

He looks up, perfect sketch finished. "Yeah, hey, Laura, umm... It was this or Intricasies of Flight... And I can't.. Fly" He laughs.

Laura
I grin. "Oh really?" then snort with laughter. "What element you want to learn?"

Lincoln thinks for a minute. "Something that reflects my personality"

Laura
"Fire, maybe earth." I grin.

Katie slipped in, she was really excited to learn how to control water after her lesson with Cam was so rudely interrupted, "Hullo," she called as she took a seat by the front.

Laura
"Hey." I grin at her. "Let me guess. Water?"

"Mmmhm," Katie nodded eagerly.

Laura
I wave my hand fluidly and water comes out in a small stream. "Cameron's better with water. But I'm pretty good." I make the water into a whip and flick it. 'So, have you ever controlled water?"

Lincoln mutter something very rude in Spanish. "Umm... Fire... Hmmm... Sure, why not?"

"No," said Katie.

Laura
I smile at Linc. "Be right with you." ((Brb)) "Just focus on thinking like water. If you are able to control it. You will sense something there."

Katie wore a quizzical expression, "Not really."

((Gotta go like... For teh rerst of the day.))

"Funny for a fish you aren't very connected..."

"Funny for a centuries old creature to be wasting their time in school," Katie snarled back.

Lincoln laughs, eyes slightly red. "Please, I really am only 19. I changed when I 17. I am still a student. Nice try"

Katie rolled her eyes and looked away. Her dislike of this kid was quickly transforming into hate.

Lincoln laughed. "Can't deal with being wrong?"

"I can't deal with you," Katie said, "you are totally, utterly, 100% insufferable."

Link only smiled. "You sound like an old nanny I had when I was little..."

"Or maybe you just have that effect on people," said Katie.

"Maybe" He winked at her and smiled. "You know what? I want to start over, I misjudged you"

"Is this a trick?" asked Katie, "if yes, you're so dead, if not, then I accept."

He smiled even more, "No trick" He held out his hand "Hello, I'm Lincoln"

"Katie," she said, shaking his hand. She thought that maybe this was the start of a beautiful friendship, "pleased to meet you."

"Likewise. So, what brings you here?"

"I want to learn how to control water," she babbled cheerfully, "why are you here?"

Laura
I raise my eyebrows at them. "Wow... Anyway, back to the lesson." I grin.

"You were saying how to control water," said Katie, turning her full attention to the lesson.

"Fire, apparently" He nods and gives a military salute to Laura.

Laura
I laugh. "Ok. So, you do the same Linc." I say smiling. "What I need you to do Katie is think like water. The flexibility, that type of thing. You get what I mean. And Linc, I need you to think about the sheer unpredictableness of fire. How easily you could get burned. All of that." I grin. "Tell me when you sense something."

When Katie sensed something, she was so excited that she jumped out of her seat, "I've got it, I've got it," her smile was radiant.

Lincoln closed his eyes. He focused and sensed something shift in him. Something with danger. His eyes snapped open and he looked at Laura and broke into a smile.

Laura
I laugh happy for them. "Now see if you can grab hold of it."

Katie closed her eyes, bit her lip and concentrated as hard as she could.

Lincoln focused. He sensed heat, but it didn't burn him. He felt something flick around his hand, fire. (( BRB I need to eat!))

Laura
I gasp, surprised. "Wow... Linc. Not many people conjure fire that quickly." I look back to Katie. "Keep going." I encourage.

"Wait, am I supposed to be conjuring it or summoning it?" asked Katie and she broke her link to the element. She sighed in frustration, back to square one.

Lincoln smiles and looks at Katie. "Try to relax completely. Think of nothing but what it feels like to be in water

Katie relaxed like he said, imagining what it felt like to swim, to be surrounded by water. After only ten seconds an orb formed in her palm. The second she opened her eyes and saw it it splashed to the ground, her happiness was so extreme, "I did it," she bounced over and hugged and kissed both Linc and Laura on the cheek.

Link touched his cheek, shocked. "You did great! Congrats!"

Laura
I laugh. "You took the words out of my mouth Linc." I pull some fire from the flames in the fireplace. "Next thing to learn is how to influence the element. But... Leave that for next time. For the rest of this lesson we will concerntrate on getting the element in front of you."

Katie laughed, taking a bow, and then laughed even harder at Lincoln's American ways, "You're not scared of a little kiss, are you?" she asked.

Lincoln smiled, his felt the fire licking up his forearm. He turned it off immediately.

I shake my head at them then grin. "So. Keep going."
