Original & Quirky Contest: Win an ebook!

I saw yours is, so you could edit it, or create a new one..."
Iona's is fine. It's Tori's that wouldn't fit at its current length.
Well, I'm working on my story....meaning I'm coming up with an idea. I'll hopefully get a good story by the deadline.

1290 words. Would it be an excerpt? Since I'm only submitting the one chapter.

If the story you are submitting is *part of a bigger story*, say you have selected a single chapter to submit-then yes; thats an excerpt.
If the story you are submitting is a story in its own right , then that is fine.
*Edit* I see you are only submitting the first chapter. Obviously, that is part of a bigger story, and qualifies as an excerpt. Could you edit it/cut things out so it stays in the word limit? If not you could come up with another idea?

There we go. My entry! It isn't very unique or clever though. Oh well, I wrote something and had fun writing it, so I'm happy.
Also, it totes wasn't going to have any paragraphs, but a friend made me put some in.

Enjoy!

If you don't have a ebook, could you still do it and the book could go to the next person?
sure, but there should be no problem to read an e-book, since any one can read it on any computer.

So I just started one, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it long enough. It's pretty weird, & I may be getting some of my facts wrong.

Here it is... It's original, that's for sure... I had fun writing it, so that's all i care about. :)
Enjoy my tiny, tiny little story!

enjoy!

The Contest opens immediately, and will close on August 20, so you have plenty of time to enter. Your story must be no longer than 1500 words, and to submit it please post it under the Writing Page of Goodreads then link it here. You may write on the topic of your choice, however, it must be unique and/or quirky. Express your writing individuality! Experiment a bit! So, obviously, a story about vampires will not win, since vampires have been done to death. On August 20, a poll will be made for group members to vote for the winner. If it is a tie, Moderators will decide. Winners should be voted on judging by the story's originality and interest.
If you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask one of the mods,
Best of luck,
Jess, Amelia, Amber & Taylor.
