Teenaged mothers. It makes me sad to see such young parents who are usually unprepared for having a child. They should be cruising the malls not buying Pampers Cruisers diapers.
Meh. I see a lot of them. Girls can be quite mature and some do just fine. It is the fathers that make me sad.
Strays. Young girls tarted up like cheap whores. Women who are afraid of their boyfriends/husbands. Men wearing ties on a Saturday. Construction workers who are outside in the ridiculous heat today.
The last time I tuned in sad clowns were dining on roadkill Saturday morning and Jonathan read about it in the times but got so excited mustard fell onto his tie so he went tieless.
off-brand toys, like the fake Barbies. Hardly the worst tragedy in the world, but it's a symbol of poverty to me.
Off-brand toys are a symbol of poverty? good lord, then don't open my childhood toy chest or closet.
Animal Cruelty. Dog fights. Very sad. Then I get mad and want to put a shotgun in the mouth of the guy who organized the dog fight until he shits his pants.
RA doesn't discern anger from sadness, just has he can't discern Pabst from Corona from Heineken. Just sayin.
People dying because they have no health insurance. Families losing their homes and becoming homeless. The growing gap between rich and poor. The fact that so few people seem to care about the growing gap. Old, neglected people living alone. Babies and toddlers dying in hot cars. People who think they have no larger responsibility than themselves and their families.
Pokemon. Honest to whatever God you believe in. I use to be in love with that show! Have any of you seen it lately? It's pathetic! They got rid of all the good characters and turned whatever original characters they have left into hypocritical, moral-spewing, selfish A-holes! I mourn my childhood when i see what they've made that show.(And I agree with Larry on this one: Amen, LG.)
Children being hurt, any hurt. Young women/girls that think they’re not good enough, ugly, fat, stupid. People without compassion. Animal cruelty of any sort. And animal movies. I cry at every animal movie.

The first couple seasons were much better than the later years.
My sons and I have also been more amused than we should be by the fact the latest hurricane is named Dora. I hope no one on the news says something like "And Dora left a path of destruction" confusing the hell out of little kids walking past the television.

Seeing the children of the local polygamist families.Seeing children of any age indoctrinated into the family

Rebecca wrote: "off-brand toys, like the fake Barbies. Hardly the worst tragedy in the world, but it's a symbol of poverty to me."I love off-brand toys. We used to try getting the girls to love the Happy to be Me dolls as much as they loved their cousins' used Barbies.
Sad= child abusers who don't spend a minute in jail.Ditto for kid killers. Sometimes animal cruelty is punished more harshly than child cruelty.
