I'm making my character.

Just wondering... Are you a Glee watcher?

Have you ever seen it?

I'm just worried about how stupid I'm going to look if you recognize this guy.

Name: Christopher (Chris)

Age: 17 (his birthday was really early.)

Grade: 11th

Personality: Pretty much whatever is on his mind at the moment, but mostly timid and shy.

Other: It's a surprise!

I'll change it if you want. Do you know much about him or his character?

Well yeah, but I want to know how much you know about his character because it may ruin the surprise. :P

...Much at all? Because there's kinda one big thing I'm looking for.

Lol, I'm blonde. I'm just trying to make sure because I'm terrified that if I do the surprise thing and then you know already, I'll turn bright red I look to much like an idiot. :P

Christopher walked down the hallway wearing high jeans and a fitted black t-shirt. In his hand he held a small sheet of paper with his locker number, combination, and schedule. He kept his eyes firmly on the ground as he was walking, but this wasn't a good idea as he bumped into a girl standing at her own locker. "I'm sorry..." he murmured quietly and leaned down to pick up his books.

((I think it'll be easier for us to both roleplay the same way. Do you wanna change to past tense, or should I write in present?))

"Thanks," Chris murmured. He finished picking up his books and stood, straightening his hair. "Um.. What class do you have next? I mean, maybe you could show me the way." He smiled softly.

((If you want me to, that's fine. :D))

Chris silently smiled behind his binder. At least he had someone in his class who had already said something other than "Move it, loser!" to him. "I do too," he said softly. He was only a little bit taller than her. "I don't know where the room is, though. I hate coming in mid-year."

"Thanks. I'm, uhm... Chris." He smiled shyly again and started down the hall after her. It seemed like she might be a good friend - for now.

Chris looked around. He had no idea where to sit. The first three rows or so were girls with lots of makeup and the shortest shirts they could manage, and the guys who looked like they were probably on the football team. Keeping his eyes on the ground, he walked to the back and sat at the seat in front of Ava, taking out his books. The teacher started a lesson on how to use prepositional phrases properly.

Chris stood and closed his binder, but then he was stopped from walking out of class by two of the larger guys at the front. "Hey, you a new kid?" One of them asked. Chris nodded silently, stepping back a few feet until he ran into the desk.

"Let me through, please," Chris muttered. The football guys laughed. "Yeah, go on." Chris pushed through and rushed to the door, bumping into Ava again.

"Pre Calculus." He said in a shaky voice. He had never been the most confident person, and the way people treated him at his last school hadn't helped. He had plenty of secrets.

"Thanks. Uhm... When will I see you again?" He smiled, a little bit more confident now.

"Thanks." He touched her shoulder lightly. "Just, eh... which way is it?"

"Muchas gracias!" he said brightly, which surprised even him, and then headed down the hallway for his next class.

Chris sat down at the very back of the class and didn't even listen to the lesson. She was really nice. I really need someone I can talk to here. Maybe I should ask her out for dinner... or would that be too pushy?

Chris sighed as the bell rang and stood to walk out, thankfully making it out the door without any trouble. He saw Ava in the hallway and headed straight for her.

"Same here. Do we have to eat in the Cafeteria, or can we go out on the grounds?" He started walking towards his locker.

"Great." His own locker was close to hers - he pulled his lunch out and then walked back over to her. "Do you have a preference?"

"Yeah, I was going to say the same." He walked after her and looked around, trying to head for a spot that had very few people. He didn't look at anyone as he walked.

Chris sat down next to her. He took out his sandwich and took a couple of bites, and then swallowed and looked at her, reaching out a hand and holding her arm. "Hey... thanks for being so... nice to me. I'm not used to this kind of thing."

"So, I was wondering... I'd really like to get to know you better." He really hoped she didn't turn him down. He needed someone. "Would you like to go to dinner tonight? I don't... I don't know of any good places, but..."

"I saw that little place on the corner near the gas station... is that okay? That's the only place I know of. Not super nice, but..."

"Great." He finished his sandwich and stood. "So... Can we meet in the parking lot once school's over?"

"All right." He was a little bit excited. "I'll see you around, then." He backed up. They had already passed the room for his next two classes.

Chris smiled and walked into his classroom, sitting at the back again. He flew through his last two classes, waiting for the last bell to ring.

Chris met her in the hallway. "Hey!" He put all of his stuff in his locker and then waited by hers.

"Yep." He looked scared for a moment, but regained his composure. "I can drive, if you'd like. Have you thought of anywhere else to go?"

"All right." He led her over to his dark blue volvo that was sitting in the parking lot and opened the door for her.

Chris closed the door and walked around to the driver's side, getting in and starting the car. "Having fun yet?" he asked, giving her a smile as he backed out of the parking lot and headed towards the restaurant.

"Well then," he pouted, lowering his voice. He turned his eyes to the road and acted like he was hurt.

He grinned. "I hoped." He pulled up to the restaurant and got out, opening the door for her again and walking inside.

Chris sat down and picked up his menu. "I have no idea what to get. Um..." he called a waitress over. "Can we have drinks?" He ordered a Shirley Temple for himself and then looked at Ava.

"The best thing on here looks like probably a burger, to me." Chris said. "That sound good to you? For me, I mean." He averted his eyes. He wasn't much good at this. As the waitress brought their drinks, she smiled and muttered, "You two are cute." Chris blushed bright red.

Chris muttered his order in a small voice and then looked at the table. He regained his composure. "Look... thanks again." He reached out to put his hand on hers in thanks. "I can't believe how nice you've been to me."

"Really? Wow." He smiled as the waitress brought their food.

"That's a first. Maybe it's because I'm not used to girls, but I went to an all-guys boarding school before now. People threatened my life."

He froze. "Uhmm... no reason, really." He searched desperately for something to say. "It was a small school and I was easy to pick on."

"Yeah." Wow, she had actually believed that. He looked across the room at one of the waiters, trying to get his attention for a check in a couple of minutes. "It really means a lot to me. Having someone... special."

He smiled shyly and called the waiter over for the check, scribbling something on the reciept and handing it back with his credit card.

"I am." He stood and reached out a hand to help her out of the seat.

"You are very welcome, Ava." He smiled and opened the door for her.

Chris got in the driver's side, looking back at the restaurant for a while before closing the car door. "Tell me how to get you home," he murmured.

"That was easy." He turned when she told him to and pulled up in the driveway. "Anyone home?"

"Ah. Would you mind showing me your room, or is it too soon for that?" He had a certain fascination with how other people decorated.
