Daniel walked in and ordered a butterbeer. The guy at the counter stared at him for a moment, then got him a glass. Daniel thanked him and sat down at a table alone.

David walked in, sat and ordered butterbeer.

((lol. alrighty))

Daniel finished his butterbeer and ordered another one. He noticed David and waved in his direction.

David tilted his head for awhile, then decided to walk up the Daniel. David sat, "Um, hey there. I don't believe I know you."

He shook his head.
"Nope. I'm Daniel," he held out his hand.

"Hey, there, Daniel," David replied. "Nice to meet you. I'm David."

"Nice to meet you too."
Daniel drank some of his butterbeer.
"What house are you in, David?"

"Gryffindor," David grinned. "How 'bout you?"

"Same," Daniel said, grinning as well. "It's nice to know someone."

"Well, don't worry, there's lots of people here," David drank from his glass.

"Yet I can't seem to make friends with many," he said a bit dejectedly.

"How are you so sure?" David asked.

"Well so far I can't seem to make friends with many," Daniel amended, gulping down butterbeer.

"Don't put yourself down like that," David patted his shoulder. "Come on, now."

He looked at David, grinning.
"Too late, but I guess I shouldn't."

"It's not late," David tried to comfort him. "Just open yourself up to people. Speak up. Listen to what they have to say and be nice."

Daniel nodded.
"Speak up, there lies my problem."

"You're talking right now, right?" David grinned.

He shook his head, laughing a bit.
"Yeah, I guess I am. But I'm horrible with lots of people."

"Well, just focus on one person at time, like right now," David told him.

"Thanks, David." Daniel said with a smile. "You're cool. You should meet my friend Roxanne, sometime."

"Sure, if I ever get the chance to," David grinned. "Anyway, I'd consider you a friend right now."

"That makes two," Daniel said, sounding a bit happy.

"Yeah," David nodded.

"Won't dad be proud," he mumbled.

"What was that?" David asked, raising an eyebrow.

((Are you procrastinating? Lol))

((yeah. i always do. lol seeing how long i can get away with it XD ))

Daniel smiled.
"Dad will be very proud," he said, trying not to laugh.

((Lol, same here!))

"Alright," David felt suspicious. "Why is that?"

"I was being a bit sarcastic, and because I'm talking to people."

"Oh," David grinned. "Alright."

((Yup!))

"What did you think?" he asked, eyebrows raised.

"What do you mean?" David asked.

Isabelle walked into the Three Broomsticks, wearing a winter hat and scarf her hair not showing, and ordered a butterbeer. She daw the two boys and came over to their table. "May I sit here les garçons?" she said her French accent thick in her voice, which was strange because it had been hardley noticable, unless she was speaking French, the lasdt few days.

"Sure," David answered. "Why not?"

"Merci!" she said sitting down.

"Yup, no problem," David smiled at Isabelle.

Isabelle smiled back. "The weather outside is cold isn't it?" she said with her accent, still unusually heavy, as she sipped her butterbeer.

"It is, but I'm used to it," David grinned. "Are you?"

"Well," she said "I live on a beach with maman and dad. We don't get a lot of cold weater, but at school we did get some cold weather."

David nodded, "At beauxbatons?"

"Oui." she replied curtly.

David smiled, "Alright, oui."

Isabelle laughed. "Do you even know what that means?" she said with a smile.
