Stefan and Elena in The Books VS Stefan and Elena in the Series (TV)

The thing I don't like about Stefan and Elena's relationship in the book is that Elena sought out to conquest him. LOL so when he didn't pay attention she was like "what the hell?" and did everything to win him over. Maybe that aspect I didn't like too much...and hence why I like Delena. Because she didn't have to chase after him like Stefan?
Even though Stefan was trying to be good and not notice her because she looked like Katherine....I should re-read maybe I will change my mind?

Yeah true, if you had the complex to be the "golder girl" of the school. I probably would be the same way.
LOL, too bad it wasn't working as effectively as we thought. j/k...

LOL, yes he is. Although he did lose control the one time with the football players when he realized that Elena was "dead" ;)
It is true. LOL yes she did ...she fought quite a bit to get him...with many plan a, b and c's lol.
lol, That is true she would always have some kind of back up plan if the first plan were to not work. :)

BUT, I don't really like Stefan and Elena as a couple in either the show or the books. I think in both media it feels as though their relationship is a plot device, not a natural reaction to the circumstances their characters find themselves in.
Stefan is a fairly good person, in both show and book. He's all about fighting the darker sides of himself. In the books Elena's the kind of person who knows and understands the darker side of herself, and uses this to her advantage. In the TV show, I'm not entirely sure what depth she has, aside from being nice, and bereaved. I really don't get Elena's motivations in the TV show, but I do think even there that she has more of a rapport with Damon.
Stefan, in both TV and Book, just doesn't seem very well developed for me. So he doesn't want to eat humans... so what? What else is there to his character?

But (A) what is the correct order to read them in?
(B) Why is their a ghostwritter?
But I would like a spoiler....I need to no... does Elena end up with Stefan or Damon in the book??? I know the show doesn't follow the book.

again as with the Damon and Elena topic it doesn't necessarily have to be a debate but if you want to debate it by all means go ahead.
I want to go through the comparisons between the two. :)
