it depends on how u kill ppl off ... idk. i've killed ppl off too ... not sure if it was necessary or not. XD
I agree with Ashley. (- the girly crying part...jk i cried after i killed a character who was in all of 2 chapters)
that character was pointless you made her immortol anyway
yeah i did and she does try to kill both sword and drea in 2 book, but it makes Angel sad (though in 2 book they hate each others guts....)
but it only makes the story more complicated, you didn't give the reader enough time to get attached to that character. You should have waited for a later chapter to kill her off.(Though I don't know how you would have introduced Doc, Sword, or Drea)
I wouldn't have been able to introduce Doc, so no sword, so no drea, so no rose, so no gent, so weryt, so no ending. Plus Angel needs a reason for anger to finish his character. Oh yeah and defintly no krea.
Killing everyone off- bad idea. but if you want to kill them, shoot them like 2pac, jk.Who is the book amed to? If it was me i would have them find one of there mums and she has some hard core troubles. Next book the go and help her.
it's bad because it's taking the easy way out, and it's disappointing to the reader. it's easy to just say, "hmmm. idk what to do. i guess i'll just kill someone off." but i find it more impressive if the author finds a way around a depressing ending, and comes w/a way to solve issues w/o killing anybody.
Personally, I like the depressing endings, and I get so ticked when people tell me that it's unprofessional. 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Les Miserables', 'Le Morte de Aruthur'.
i just watched the most annoying movie it turned out that every thing was a movie
o and do u mean shakespeares tradegys cause theres only 9
okay, you guys misunderstood me. i didn't say that ALL sad endings are bad. sometimes, it is necessary. i'm just saying that a lot of the time, you don't HAVE to kill off people to end a story, and some authors forget that.
yeah ... most of my favorite books DON'T have dead characters at the end!and how is killing people off FUN?! i don't get it. whenever i kill people off, or even when i come close to killing people off, i start to cry and i feel miserable for the rest of the day! NOT FUN! of course, i try to avoid the situation altogether. i don't like killing characters off; it feels like i'm killing a friend or something. XD
Its weird I dont want to kill characters off but when I am writing It just happens and then I read over it and I'm like no!!!!! I killed them!!!!!!!! but wow! thats really good writing!thats what goes through my mind when I do.
hmmm ... idk. i just hate killing people off, unless my mind seriously cannot come up w/ANY other way to end it.i wrote one story where i killed off the main characters at the end, but it was actually a relatively happy ending -- hard to explain. but i still hated doing it, and i'd rather not do it again.
I love creating mysteries!! I'm writing one right now, and I killed someone off in the prologue. Funny thing is, that's what got everyone hooked ;D
see i don't really mind ppl getting killed of at the BEGINNING ... i do that all the time. XD it's killing ppl off at the end that i can't do.
lol... okay... maybe its only sometimes fun when someone dies.. i must admit their are times when its awful. Bridge to Terabithia is one example.
but the plot was devine, oh yeah l am with Brigid, l can kill off characters in begging but not in the end. (exept in 1 storie where at the very end a character is malled by this huge like human size spider and then a vampire who is sort of his friend but sorta not comes and can't resist and drinks the blood, accidentaly turning him into a vampire, does that count? I mean his friends think he's dead and reader thinks he's dead until the 2 book...*trails off*...)
well my charrie i live in the dremas of other people is dead from the start, in white walls someone wil die in the ned but i will not revel that, if its one of the good or bad guys, in resurrection, well im not sure yetI FINISHED UNWIND!!!!!!!!!!!!
