What do you guys usually like to read books in what point of view?
1st person,2nd person, or 3rd person? Pick and tell us why!

I always write in 1st. I dont know why but I do. Reading wise, it doesn't matter

I like 1st for everything!

I prefer first person. It makes it soo much easier for me to connect with characters, both reading and writing.

I can't stand 1rst person unless it is very well written, so good that I forget I'm reading first. I don't know why. Something in me just cringes every time the writer puts 'I' or 'me.'

So third person?

I love the book in first person if it is written well but if it's not I can absloutly hate it. I can't stand second person and I like third person okay. If i'm writting i pefer first person because I can make more impact on the reader. I do write in second and third person though.

Yes,1 person when I write its more impactful and easy to relate!

Yep, except when I when i'm writting from a male perspective.

I'm not going to post my book just becuases if i ever publish it could be a copyright nightmare. I plan on posting some of my other stuff, i have a particular secene i'm trying to bulid an actually story around.

Sure, i would like to see what you think cnsidering i don't like it very much but my teacher did.

I like writing in first person or third person omniscient(where you know all of the characters thoughts/feelings). Writing in second person is kinda awkward for me. Same thing for reading. I like first and third, but not second.

Second person is confusing and I like first person best because it is more clear.

I prefer 1st person. Like many have said it is more personal and you connect with the characters better. I like the mystery involved with 1st person. 3rd person is ok but I like to focus on the main characters interal growth and struggles rather than 2 to 3 others. Even if the story is written badly in the 1st person, I just see it as one person's point of the character's actions and reactions. Then I block the author's persona for the character and put myself in the character's position and decide what I would do. That why YA influences me so much in certain aspects.

Second person is not ideal to write in, some authors make it work. It is where the writer is telling you the story directly and the writer uses pronouns like, you, yours, and your. The Tale of Desproux is written in both second and third person but it is the only fiction I have read that is written from second person. Commonly how to books or self-help books are written in second person.

I prefer 1st person.

I like both 1st and 3rd--but my favorite type of narration is limited 3rd, like JK Rowling did in Harry Potter. Where the books are focused on one character (Harry) but its not a first person--so the story fools you into thinking that you know more than you actually do--makes for great story twists!

Right, third person is more complex than the other POV's and has more uses in writting. I like them all, second person a little less just because it isn't suitable for slot of what I write.

I like first (such as The Hunger Games) and limited third (Harry Potter), although I won't limit myself and will try pretty much any POV.

first person or third person. It depends on the genre. Fantasy and sci fi usually need to be third but realistic fiction i like to be first.

I like first person but if there is a lot of characters then it should be third person. When I read fantasy and sci fi, it needs to be in third person since usually there are a lot of characters in those books.

I like first, then when it switched from character to character, like in Crosses and Legend.

I like reading in either 1st or 3rd person, it doesn't matter much to me. But, I find it much easier to write in 1st person. I always try 3rd person and I usually end up changing it to 1st. 2nd person is just something I don't come across often. The only time I remember 2nd person is those Choose Your Own Adventure which I really only liked when I was younger. I never found use to write in 2nd though.
