New Jo Nesbo "Headhunters" being released in the US in Sept. This is a stand alone and not part of his Harry Hole series.

Very cute Naomi. Also a new book by a newcomer called Call me Princess (not me the book) by Sara Blaedel. Though I have to say it is not getting very good reviews. Have it at home here but have not read it yet. Many books in front of it,
btw..did you find Jo and the others? If you click on the authors link all the authors pop up.
Fist a question, Do we only consider those authors that live and write in the Nordic countries or can we consider a writer who lives in England but his settings are in Iceland? Second Until Thy Wrath Be Past by Larrson is being released.
I think we have a thread on Larrson - so throw that info up
Okay don't know if this qualifies or not, but I brought home a book today Where the Shadows Lieby an author that lives in England but the novel takes place in Iceland and is the first of a new series featuring Detective Magnus Jonson.
You know..I don't know. IMO, nordic noir is authors from those countries...Judges???
Brought home The American Girl by Monika Fagerholm, set in Finland. Also her new book Glitter scene was released this week?

No I have not read it I have enough stuff on my TBR list and I don't need to add another genre right now. lol
lol!! It was ok..I barely gave it 3 stars..it was good had a really nice twist, but it wasn't a stand out...

Thanks, Diane..he is such an awesome author. He is another one that I wish publishers would get it together and have all of his books translated.
I wonder what the cost is to have a book translated? Is that why they don't do it? Who does the translating, btw?

Thanks, Diane..of course it went onto my TBR list..I picked up Hodejegerne today from the library and at the back of the book, it has that he is releasing the book, Panserhjerte (the leopard) in December.
I have Ice Moon at home, but will probably have to wait till christmas break to read it. Good to know that the sequel will be available.
I have Ice Moon here as well. Hope to get to it before Christmas break. Going to read Headhunters next. Well after I finish the four books I am reading now.
Publishing in June a new Swedish thriller called Midvinterblod Midwinter Blood here in the US. Don't know too much about it except it is the first of a four part series and the main character is a female.
set in Stockholm released in June and a new Lars Kepler called The Nightmare also in June.

I actually ended up ordering The Caller from Canada. It was really unusual. Dave and I had a discussion because we took different takes on occurances on the book. I can't wait to discuss it and see what others think as well.
Diane do you have a link for Drowned? I am trying to get it on my TBR list and I can't find it anywhere.
They don't seem to have one Naomi. It is coming out in May and here is the ISBN 9781590515242 comes out in a trade paperback. The publisher is Other.
