"Woah, look at the sky!" Hal cried, pointing up at the 'sky' in amazement. "Not a single cloud!" She giggled happily. Oh, brother will be so happy to see this. He's been sick ever since the trees began to petal.
((danke!))Andy heard someone speaking, and looked up from her spot by the tree. She was reading her brother's journal for the thousandth time, trying to find something- anything that could be a potential clue.
Andy stood and started to head toward the store. She walked onto the sidewalk, totally absorbed in her thoughts. She was so out of it that she accidentally bumped into Mika.
Mika looked at Andy. "What the hell?" He snapped, feeling iritable. "What's your problem? Why can't you look up when you walk?!"
((You really like making irritable characters don't you? e-e LOL))Andy looked at him and clutched her brother's journal to her chest. "I um...Sorry." She said, looking down in embarassment. Her voice was not one that you would've expected coming from a boy. Not that Andy was a boy. But Mika didn't know that.
"Whatever." Mika replied. "not that anything matters in this place. Not if I ever leave soon." He muttered. When Mika realized he said that out loud, he looked up at Andy, waiting for some type of reaction.
"Leave?" Hal questioned, slowing to a stop. "Leave where?" She tilted her head, a bag full of medication in her hands.
Andy looked at Mika. "You want to leave to?" She asked softly. Had he done any research? Maybe he had some information that she didn't have.
"Why wouldn't I." He softly replied. He turned to Hal. "Leave my house. I'm movign out of it." he covered up his comment.
Andy looked at Mika, then at Hal. She really wanted to Talk to Mika alone, she gave Mika a look that conveyed that, she just hoped he understood.
Hal shook her head slowly. "You guys can't leave, or the chief will get mad..." She frowned. "And there are monsters up there. We are safe here." She whispered softly.
"What do you mean? Why would we want to leave here? This place is amazing. It's always sunny... Who wouldn't love it?" Mika said to Hal smiling.
She smiled. "exactly! Hey, do you guys want to come visit my brother? I'm just delivering his meds to him now actually."
"Um. That's okay. I have somewhere to be." Mika said. he had understood Andy's look and was hoping they could both get away.
Hal smiled. "Lukas is so nice to everyone, he won't mind if you come over. Just don't mention leaving." She warned.
Mika suddenly felt bad about not going to visit a sick person. "Fine I'll go. He's sick. Why not be nice?"
She smiled even more. "Lukas loves company." She told them, skipping down the street. She eventually stopped at a tiny house. "Tadaaa!"
Andy waited quietly for the door to open. She looked down at the book in her hands. Her thoughts drifted to Orion. Would she ever find him.
There was a cough, before the door slowly opened. A pale, blonde boy stood there. He stared at them.
"Hi. Your sister took us along to visit you" Mika said sounding bored. Inside he was quite alert. Maybe this boy knew somethign abotu escaping.
Andy looked at the boy. "Hello." She said softly. She didn't really talk much, so she offered up a bit of a meek smile.
Lukas looked down, and wandered back inside the house, leaving the door open. Hal frowned, stepping up inside the house. "I'm sorry, he doesn't talk much..."
"His friends kinds...well they left." She said softly when he came back with a bowl of fruit. He put it down on the table, sitting in the chair near the door.
"Everyone's been leaving. They've been leaving. If there is an outside, then they've been going there..." Mika trailed quietly off.
"But we don't need the outside!" Hal insisted, smiling. "we have it here!" She hugged her brother, who looked away.
"Whatever." Mika replied. "We have everything we could ever want." he mocked the leaders of their city thing. Lies. that's what they were fed. Lies.
Vivian was walking home from fetching the groceries for her Mother. The wind was soft and gently pushed her messy bangs when she heard the softest of voices coming through the slightest of cracks in a door. She immediately was drawn to the small house where the voices were coming from. She slowly crept up to the back door crack and pushed her ear against it and heard something about conspiracy and getting out. That's when her face flushed with color. "What am I doing!" she thought. "Just be on your way you blithering idiot!" she mentally scolded. She pushed her hair out of her eyes once again and set off in the direction of her own home.
"We DO have real lives!" Hal insisted, puffing out her cheeks. "Anyways, the Chief said we have to stay." She crossed her arms. "Remember what happened to Keelan?"
Lukas tensed up, looking away. He coughed quietly.
"Anyways," Hal continued. "Brother couldn't leave the house! He is too sick."
Lukas tensed up, looking away. He coughed quietly.
"Anyways," Hal continued. "Brother couldn't leave the house! He is too sick."
"I never said he could leave. But I'm going to try. One day. I'd rather end up like Keelan than be stuck here." Mika muttered quietly to himself.
