Sam | 28 comments Thanks. Which one did you read?

message 5: by Sam (new)

Sam | 28 comments The Cliff. I like that one too.
Is that bad?

message 6: by Sam (new)

Sam | 28 comments I was just wondering. Did you like that I did that, just out of curiousity?
Yeah. My favorite character's the fox. ^^

Sam | 28 comments Ah. No, that's just kind of how I write in first person, and that story was kinda different because I haven't given characters names for a long, long time. Did you read all of them? My personal favorites would be The Cliff, Steal His Heart, and An Act of Kindness.
Really? Me too! When I was writing it, I just knew I had to have the fox come back. I refused for it to be any other animal.

Sam | 28 comments So is there any critique for me? I'm always looking to improve!

message 9: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) Wow, Sam! I loved them!
It would be interesting to find out your character's parents motive for sending her off to boarding school, though part of the coolness of the first story is that you don't know more then the main character.
I absolutely adored your descriptive language as well as the great ideas for your stories. The only thing I might edit would be a bit of grammar and a tiny bit of repetitive words once in a while.
I have to say my favorite one was Secrets, my favorite part being how it really caught to up and drew you in. I didn't want to take my eyes off the page before I knew how it would end!
Your style is interesting as well, it's unusual for writing to be free of dialogue for the most part, but the way you do it makes it really fit in and add to the stories.
Keep writing
-Eve

Sam | 28 comments Thank you Loudfire. What did you mean by spacing?

Sam | 28 comments Ah, okay.

message 15: by Sam (new)

Sam | 28 comments It's an untitled story, wondering if you guys could read it and let me know if it's worth continuing and perhaps help me figure out a good title.

Thanks,
~Sam

message 16: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) Definitely keep writing it! I can't wait to see what happens next! As far as a title, maybe something to do with Amber?
Keep writing and be creative

message 17: by Sam (new)

Sam | 28 comments Thanks, you guys. :)

message 18: by Sam (last edited Sep 19, 2011 05:56PM) (new)

Sam | 28 comments Okay, I've been thinking of titles. How about one of these (And yes, I know they're bad, but perhaps you can help me salvage them or maybe they'll spark something):

Safety's Overrated

Promises Don't Mean A Thing

Never Let Go

Everyone has a Dark Side

Who Said Secrets Can't Be Kept?

Everyone has Secrets

High School and Secrets Don't Mix

Some Things Are Best Left Unknown

Trust No One

message 19: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) That title list sounded like a poem! ^__^

message 20: by Sam (new)

Sam | 28 comments Haha, it's not a poem, but thanks. :) Hmmm.... yeah I like those ones too. But I'm not sure they characterize the story. They sound more like chapter titles than a book title.

message 21: by Sam (new)

Sam | 28 comments That's true, thanks.
