Gatorman | 7679 comments Here's how you play: you type a post about anything (usually real-life stuff) and "quote" one 5-letter word. The next person takes that word, changes one letter, and then rearranges the letters to spell a new 5-letter word and uses the new word in "quotes" in a new post that either responds to the last one or starts a new topic. I'll begin to show how it's done:

Hey, all this rain we are having really "bites".

message 2: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 7679 comments Yeah, it's a real "beast", isn't it?

(took the letters from "bites", changed the "i" to an "a" and rearranged the letters to spell "beast". Not so hard, is it?)

message 3: by Jill H. (new)

Jill H. (bucs1960) But at "least" it is not flooding?

message 4: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 7679 comments This is true. Rowing a boat through the water is not really my "style".

message 5: by Diane S ☔ (new)

Diane S ☔ | 438 comments When my dog is in the boat he really "yelps" when it thunders.

message 6: by Jill H. (new)

Jill H. (bucs1960) And "leaps" out of the boat.

message 7: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 7679 comments My dog always manages to bay loudly when I am trying to "sleep".

message 8: by paul (new)

paul burke (anntony475) | 56 comments looks like NPR puzzlemaster has arrived

message 9: by Jill H. (new)

Jill H. (bucs1960) But he only does it when the alarm clock goes "bleep".

message 10: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 7679 comments When those sounds start going, it makes my ears want to "bleed".

message 11: by Diane S ☔ (new)

Diane S ☔ | 438 comments And my head start to "blend" into the sound.

message 12: by T (new)

T (twoo) Me? It turns my hair "blond"....

message 13: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 7679 comments I bet that would make me look quite "noble", actually!

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Gatorman's new game is making my ear "lobes" itch!

message 15: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 7679 comments Thanks, Hayes. Truth is I "stole" the idea from another group, but hey, let's share the wealth, right?

message 16: by T (new)

T (twoo) Hayes, your itchy lobes will turn into "blobs"!

message 18: by Jan C (new)

Jan C (woeisme) | 39279 comments Rain is coming here, too. Time to "stoke" the fire.

message 19: by Jill H. (new)

Jill H. (bucs1960) I am a little late but I had to go to the "store".

message 20: by Jan C (new)

Jan C (woeisme) | 39279 comments I had to leave the goods by the "stone".

message 21: by Jill H. (new)

Jill H. (bucs1960) I hope the smoke from the fire goes up the "vents"

message 22: by T (new)

T (twoo) < okay, so initial foray into the new game starts with a booboo, no new turning over a new leaf for me, right in character! >

Hopefully nothing will pop and cause "dents"!

message 23: by Diane S ☔ (last edited Aug 20, 2011 12:06PM) (new)

Diane S ☔ | 438 comments Remember to "stand" away from the fire.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Or you will get a "nasty" burn!

message 25: by T (new)

T (twoo) But it's what makes marshmallows "tasty"!

message 26: by Karendenice (new)

Karendenice But don't be to "hasty" in making them.

message 27: by Jan C (new)

Jan C (woeisme) | 39279 comments Would you then "state" that it is dangerous?

message 28: by Diane S ☔ (new)

Diane S ☔ | 438 comments It is if you "stare" into the flames.

message 29: by Jan C (last edited Aug 20, 2011 01:23PM) (new)

Jan C (woeisme) | 39279 comments Probably better then to just "roast" your meat.

message 30: by T (new)

T (twoo) But what would a "satyr" do?

message 31: by Jill H. (new)

Jill H. (bucs1960) Probably "stays" around to watch flames

message 32: by T (new)

T (twoo) If you had some "yeast", perhaps s/he could make a loaf of bread to go with the roast meat!

message 33: by Jill H. (new)

Jill H. (bucs1960) That might take "years" over an open fire

message 34: by T (new)

T (twoo) Your eyes might get "teary" from the smoke, but you might be able to bury the loaf of bread to bake it....

message 35: by Jill H. (new)

Jill H. (bucs1960) It would just make me "weary".

message 36: by T (new)

T (twoo) As long as someone remains "aware" of potential hungry bears, you could sleep!

message 37: by Gatorman (last edited Aug 20, 2011 04:07PM) (new)

Gatorman | 7679 comments That depends on what the person "wears" to bed. Don't look like food!

message 38: by aprilla (new)

aprilla or 'worse', don't smell like food ;)

message 39: by T (new)

T (twoo) A "sword" to fend them off then!

message 40: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 7679 comments You don't want to be left thinking, "I could have "sworn" I had a weapon in the cabin!"

message 41: by aprilla (new)

aprilla If there's a cabin that's where I would be, with the other nervous 'noras'!!

message 42: by T (new)

T (twoo) Not dancing "horas" around the big bad bears?

message 43: by aprilla (last edited Aug 20, 2011 04:43PM) (new)

aprilla No! Not me, too cosy in the cabin with the fire and everything... but I'd 'share' the mini bar goodies with the dancers

message 44: by T (new)

T (twoo) The card "shark" in the group might have emptied the mini bar contents before you can share!

message 45: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 7679 comments Keep drinking from the mini bar and you will all "crash" real soon.

message 46: by T (new)

T (twoo) Quick! "Scram" to bed before the rowdies start carousing!

message 47: by aprilla (new)

aprilla Goodnight... take care and don't 'smack' any bears, or each other, with those swords!

message 48: by T (last edited Aug 20, 2011 06:52PM) (new)

T (twoo) Don't forget to wear your sleep "masks"!

message 49: by Diane S ☔ (new)

Diane S ☔ | 438 comments And your sleep "sacks".

message 50: by Jan C (new)

Jan C (woeisme) | 39279 comments And "stack" your reading on the floor.
