The book Memoirs of a Master Forger by William Heaney published in the UK was actually written by Graham Joyce under a pseudonym (of the main character).

A few years later, the same book was published in the US as How to Make Friends with Demons by "Graham Joyce".

I can't combine the two titles manually as they are by different authors. What is the best way to fix this? Can the authors be merged?

They can't be merged, without losing one...we don't want that. What I do is put his name in the first "author" field (must be the same for both books, for them to combine), and the pseudonym in the second field.

That way, you can combine them, keep both author profiles, and the books show up under both author names...readers can easily find them by searching either one. And that is the name of the game. :)
