Tony (direidi) | 3 comments As a small indie publisher I'm looking for places where I can published my authors books.

I use Createspace for POD, for E-books I use Amazon and Smashwords.

I have taken a look at Lulu.com and was not really happy with them.

So I would like to know where you publish your books at.

P.J. Johns (PJJohns) | 6 comments As an indie author, I publish my books through Amazon and Smashwords as ebooks.

I did consider going the traditional route, but in the end decided to embrace the new format and go it alone, though I know it's damned difficult!

Vincent Trigili (losttalesofpower) | 4 comments As a totally unheard of newbie author I publish at Smashwords (who then sends it out to many others), and Amazon for ebooks. I also have Lulu for POD, but I think with my next book I will try Create Space. Since Amazon drives the online book world, might as will try hoping on the Amazon bandwagon.

Note: Smashwords says it will push to Amazon soon, but even if/when it does (they been saying soon for a very long time) I will still push to Amazon directly because Amazon is THE ebook king, and will put up self published books in 24-48 hours, while Smashwords takes WEEKS and WEEKS (sometime months...) to distribute books to others.

I published on LULU, for two of my books. Since then I have moved to ebooks mostly on Amazon, Barnes & Nobel and smashwords.

Vincent Trigili (losttalesofpower) | 4 comments John POD is Print On Demand. Aka paperback and hardcover versions.

I use Createspace now though... 1/2 the price for the same quality.
