Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments May I introduce Professor Eberts.

His first lesson will be of Dark Wizards through the ages, starting with Morgana the Malicious and ending with Thomas Riddle the Second.

"Morgana was a bad witch. It's why the word 'witch' is an insult in the muggle community. No one has ever really forgotten how she invented the Cruciatus Curse and practiced on random muggles. Merlin the Merciful was the only one who could face her, eventually defeating her. The end.

"Gwendolen the Gray used transfiguration to get rid of all color in the Muggle World... Trivia: Invented the words pointless, gray, odd, and colorless. No one really bothered to actually stop him. Yes, he was a him."

This was the opening lesson. Pretty soon, he'll finish off with medieval times, ending that with Wylie the Wily, goblin killer who turned out to be a fraud.

After that he would briefly cross over the Dark Wizards leading up to the Industrial Revolution, and then reach the most feared menace of the 19th century, someone who people would probably still would be shuddering about if Voldemort hadn't overshadowed him.

Jade walked in quietly, obviously late.

message 3: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments Eberts didn't even look. "What's your house?" He asked her, not even bothering with names.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

"Uhhh... Hufflpuff. But everybody believes it should be Gryffindor, even though I am partial to Ravenclaw and dont mind Slytherin. Gryffindor suits me well though because hardly anything will scare me, though Ravenclaw seems exceptionally lavish if I do say so myself." She smirked and sat down.

message 5: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "Five points from Hufflepuff," he cut in. "Can you tell us what curse Morgana the Malicious invented?"

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

" 'Course! It was the Cruciatus Curse! Everybody shoild know that by now. It is part of the curriculum, isnt it?"

message 7: by Kendra (last edited Feb 09, 2013 12:53PM) (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "Yes. But we're going to skip a bit ahead in the book. Until this year, the Ministry has been keeping this quiet," he was very good at hiding his revulsion, "but they've decided that now that everything's going okay, you can hear it. It starts with the fraudulent Goblin Killer, Wylie the Wily. Does anyone know any relevant information on him?"

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

"Wasnt he known as the Wizard of Food?" Jade asked.

message 9: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments Silence.

"Very well. Wylie the wily was the great-great-great-grea-great- add a few dozen more greats in there somewhere, grandfather of someone with an even more unfortunate name: Donald David Duncan. Duncan was descended from him on his mother's side, he was a half-blood. And his heart held an anger beyond what most had."

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Jade rolled her eyes, looking around at her felloe classmates. Petula sat in the corner of the room, smacking her gum.

message 11: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "Duncan's father was a drunk who couldn't care less if his son was a wizard or not. He messed up his kid. He paid for this dearly, because in his first year, Duncan became a legilimens and possessed his father from Hogwarts to London while Duncan Sr. was driving. He moved his father's hands and drove him off a cliff."

((On that happy note, I have to go.))

message 12: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments ((But it was quite the attention grabber, right?))

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

((Oh, yes. See ya!))

Jade began laughing.

message 14: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "Could you please explain to the class what is funny about death?" Eberts folded his hands, giving a subtle message of warning.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

"I wasnt lauhing about the dieing part, I was laughing about a popular trend. All of thede people in our books first discover or learn something, and then they use it to do somethunb WITH death. Like, ummm... I cant remember her name, but she would change hrr identity and continually pretend to die in witch burning because she loved the sensation with her charm to be, basically, fire-proof. See? They continually abuse what they have after they discover a neat talent or charm."

message 16: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "Wendolen the Weird, and let's just stick with the facts for now. That same year, he discovered that his History of Magic teacher was a Dark Wizard on the run and used legilimens to lead him to a new spell. The spell created hundred of dementors and nearly destroyed the school.
"To keep up appearances, he helped to bring the other Dark Wizard down. It was his own set of potions that was used to stop the man. As a side effect, the potion turned the Wizard into a dragon. Duncan possessed the dragon with legilimens regularly the next year, killing the entire Slytherin house of the day and anyone else who bothered him. While this was going on, he invented a new spell. This spell is the main reason that the Ministry's kept this under wraps. If the next Dark Wizard were to discover it, then most probably we'd all die."

He looked around, pleased to see he had everyone's attention. "Class dismissed."

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Petula grinned and walked out hurriedly.

Jade chuckled and began to walk out.

message 18: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments One of the students stopped at the door just in front of Jade. "What house was DDD in?"
"Hufflepuff. Now get."

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Jade froze when she saw the student, then started to continue on.

message 20: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "Jade." Eberts stopped her with a surprisingly commanding voice.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Her hand was on the edge of the door when she stopped. Jade slowly turned around to face him, then said in her 'nicest' voice,"Yes, Professor Eberts?"

message 22: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "You must understand the seriousness of my lessons. I have been lenient today, but if you cannot sit through a lesson in this class, then I will make sure that you will not. Am I understood?" He looked straight into her eyes to tell if she was lying, and she noticed for the first time that one of his eyes was brown while the other was a burning green.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Jade admired his eyes, they were unique. She sighed,"Alright. But just saying, I think this is my favorite class so far." Jade grinned and began to walk out of the room.

message 24: by Kendra (last edited Nov 09, 2012 01:45PM) (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments He thought about whether or not this was a compliment for awhile, then shrugged and decided that it didn't matter.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

((Haha, brilliant))

message 26: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments ((Okay then, I'll start.))
Eberts grabbed the ghost by the arm (one of the few who could) and threw him out of the room. "Get out of my classroom!" He screamed at Peeves. "Get into my classroom!" He commanded Jade.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

Jade, whom had her hand up by the door just about to knock, raised an eyebrow and stepped inside. "I didnt know that he could hold a ghost by the arm. Hm."

message 28: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "Peeves has just scattered these history books throughout the classroom. Your are to sort them by alphabetical order. No magic."
He was about to close the door behind her when the headmaster interrupted. "Professor Eberts, there's been a situation..."
Eberts gestured at Jade with his cane as if to say, "don't say anything in front of her."
"Ah, a detention. Well, I'll just guard the door against alohamora and we'll be gone."
Eberts gave her a stern look. "Don't touch anything."
Then they were gone.
((That's her cue to start touching things.))

message 29: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments Description of the room: Enough knives to equip a small army, a four foot long blade in a pedestal that looks like it has been enchanted over several centuries, a few potions, oddly enough, and a pensieve.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

She looked around, her eyes drifting to the pensive. Jade grinned impishly. She jogged towards it, almost tripping over her own feet, looked once more towards the door. Then she 'dived' in.

message 31: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments A woman, maybe in her late twenties, struck by lightning in front of a wailing seven-year-old. Then that same child, ten, being attacked by some being which changed from a grizly to a cheetah to a wolf and so on, somehow defeating it every time. That ten-year old growing up, looking more and more like Eberts all the time... the first time one of his eyes went a burning green, then later both did. They went back and forth from brown and burning green for years, only turning burning green when he was very, fery angry. He never picked up a wand. Lived from ages ten to twelve in the Amazon Rain forest, then rescued a pair of inept explorers who then put him in a boarding school. Then scattered bits and pieces... a father, trying to kill him. Then a son... named after a warrior he had once fought beside. That same son... killed by Donald David Duncan.

A hand gripped her shoulder with a barely contained rage.

Eberts yanked her out of his memories, using all of his self control not to crush her shoulder with his hands. Hesitantly, he let go of her. Both of his eyes were a burning green, and the knives all around his office suddenly caught fire and began to tremble, hopping slightly toward her as if only kept back by his self control.
"Get out before I decide it's not worth it," he confirmed.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

She looked at him with fright and pity. Jade dashed out of the room, not daring to look back.

message 33: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments ((Where now?))

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

((Umm... iDkkkk.... Somewhere like, uh.... Quid ditch Pitch or Common Room?))

message 35: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments ((Common room.))

message 36: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) Troy runs into class rather quickly as fast as he appeared in a seat one might assume he apparated...

message 37: by Kendra (last edited Nov 11, 2012 08:55PM) (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "Lesson's on the board. Bookwork today." His glare alone was enough to smother the groans.

message 38: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) troy gets out quil and parchment and instantly starts jottign down the notes ont eh board

message 39: by Kendra (last edited Apr 07, 2013 11:01AM) (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments An owl flew through an open window and dropped it's letter on Eberts' desk. He glanced at it, then rose, leaning heavily on a cane. "A substitute will be with you shortly," he said, then left.

message 40: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) Troy looks up oddly..."What the bloody hell was that about?" He says under his breath...

message 41: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments ((Past tense.., please. It will reduce confusion.))

D floated through the wall. "I am your substitute," the ghost informed them.

message 42: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) ((oh sorry mate I get befuzzled alot))

Troy smirked slightly thinking back to the last time he had had a ghost as a substitute. He sniggered for a moment..."And who are you, exactly?"

message 43: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "You may call me D. Now, I shall need a volunteer."

message 44: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) Troy does not even come close to volunteering

message 45: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments Someone volunteered. "you are excused from today's activity," D told him. Then he had him hold his wand against D's head and extract a bit of knowledge. "Now, send it into everyone's head and they will automatically know all about the medieval eras."
The volunteer was just about to do so when Eberts came back and knocked the wand to the side, sending the bit of knowledge to the ground. He stomped on it and grabbed D's arm, twisting it. "Get out! Out! Out!!!!"
He lobbed the ghost through the wall.

message 46: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) Troy and several others laugh...

message 47: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments "All of you, out." He sheperded the students out the door, slamming it behind them.

message 48: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) Troy felt odd how rushed he was...What was with the Professor...He turns and knocks on the door...

message 49: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 778 comments Eberts opened the door and glared at Troy, his multiple-colored stare daring the slytherin to speak.

message 50: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) Troy frowns..."Sorry, Sir, I was jsut wondering if I may have a moments of your time."
