I actually just purchased this book "1001 books you must read before you die" and I am really liking it a Lot!

why is this book about the 1001 books you must read before you die not among the 1001 books you must read before you die? does it mean that the editors do not recommend that you read this book? why? are they saying that the whole is not greater than its parts taken separately?
