to my knowledge she has only written 4 books to date (in order)Last rituals
My soul to take
Ashes to dust
The day is dark
they have all been released and translated into English
I've only read Last Rituals of those, and I'm not sure I'd put it in for the noir category... (then again, I like my noir proper noir like Nesbø).It seemed like a bake of Bridget Jones (Thóra) with a bunch of clones of Eva Lind characters in a Dan Brown thing located in Iceland. Interesting pieces of history and locations though.
I'll wait to see what you think of that one, Naomi. If it's less bridgetjonesy, I might try it. But with all the bridget stuff in it, I'll pass.
I couldn't get through it Anna. I got about 120 pages in and it couldn't keep my interest to save my life. I chose TV over reading a book and that isn't like me.
Ok so it's not just me. I could finish one of those bridgetjonesy books, and for 3/4 of the book, I tried to imagine a fat Renee Zellweger doing the role of Thóra. That was the part of the humor I could get from the book (and needed to finish it). Oh well, at least I tried... I guess it'll take a different type of reader than many of us here to like it.
Wow..I didn't think of it that way. My next one is the stonecutter..I probably won't make it through that one either cuz I just don't like Camilla Läckberg, as a writter..too bridgetjonsey, as you like to say.
