message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

i liked the idea of the arena

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments I liked the 1st arena better..Like who wants to die in a jungle? And the timing thing? That was confusing! The blood rain creeped me out..I wonder how they got the blood...

message 9: by Faith Noelle (new)

Faith Noelle Smith I thoguth it was cool! :D

Erin Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) wrote: "I liked the 1st arena better..Like who wants to die in a jungle? And the timing thing? That was confusing! The blood rain creeped me out..I wonder how they got the blood..."

I liked the first arean better to because they were there longer and it felt more descriptive and less confusing.

message 11: by Faith Noelle (new)

Faith Noelle Smith I guesss you could say that maybe.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments Erin wrote: "Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) wrote: "I liked the 1st arena better..Like who wants to die in a jungle? And the timing thing? That was confusing! The blood rain creeped me out..I wonder how they got the..."
That's exaclty why I like the 1st one better to!

WYR be in the 1st arena, or the 2nd arena?

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments Yes. I would be SOO confused about the time thingy. I would of died easier.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Really? I really liked the clock arena idea...maybe not the motivation behind it, but I thought it was cool...

message 15: by Faith Noelle (new)

Faith Noelle Smith Me too. I also kinda liked the 1st areana I loved the treees! I would feel really safe living in actually.

message 16: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) I don't think I'd have a chance at all in the hunger games... My fantasies of knowing to tap water from trees and listen to pain crazed women talk about clocks in code are out of reach I'm sure.

message 17: by Faith Noelle (new)

Faith Noelle Smith Yeah, I think it would be for me too.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments Who really does? We are more like Capitol people than District people. Most of us haven't experience extreme hunger or had to train to be in it.

message 19: by Faith Noelle (new)

Faith Noelle Smith Thats true. This wrold today deosnt know how to live without food or electronics(sp) If hafe of this wrold was put into the hunger games most of us would die cause lots of us never hafe to wrok for things they are handed to us on a sliver paltter!(sp) Like in the distrcits they know how to survie without food they wrok hard for it. Us people today dont! It makes me kinda mad(Okay, back on topic.)

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah...the extent of my survival skills are limited to starting fires and climbing trees, and we're not even supposed to want to start a fire.

message 21: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) The longest I've gone without food is 24 hours straight, and it was torturous. The thing is, the pampered, spoiled, and fattened nation has become blind to their-our- ignorance. Not a single one of us would stand a chance against the citizens of Panem. Maybe that's why we long to get our hands on a good dystopian novel. We want to 'live' the life of someone who may not live in the lap of luxury, but they're strong, and they're not blind. Is that really what it's going to take for us? An apocalypse?

message 22: by Faith Noelle (new)

 Faith Noelle Smith Probley.

message 23: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) yeah, sometimes I feel like ranting about civilization. Sorry it happened here ':L

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments I do like what you wrote, Eve. And I totally agree. What has become of us? The ones who take everything for granted- the food on our plates, the clothes on our back, the roof that cover us. If we, our generation aren't going to be responsible leaders and parents, then future generations will be in bad, bad shape.

message 25: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) Such is our destiny.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments I'll try my best to stop it.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

We're just a ruined generation. We're pampered and impatient because we're used to getting everything right away. The Digital Generation is NOT good for the future of the world...

message 28: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) Suzanne based all the districts on points in history when humans needed to work and weren't pampered, for instance 11 with the civil war and 8 and 12 with the industrial revolution. Now, in this 'digital' age, we're lost, and so are the generations to follow.

message 29: by Faith Noelle (new)

 Faith Noelle Smith I disagree.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments With what?

message 31: by Faith Noelle (new)

Faith Noelle Smith Oh, I am not sure. I thought you said something eles. Who loves CINNA?!

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

ME! RIGHT HERE! THE LITTLE GIRL IN THE YERD JACKET! *waves hand in air*

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments haha...of course Snickerdoodle volunteers first :)

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

Of course. :)

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments I really miss Catching Fire. Did I say that already? Yes I did. Because it's true. *sigh*

message 36: by Faith Noelle (new)

Faith Noelle Smith I mean Ciinna, there are so many great things I could say. He as a great heart, was there when Katniss needed him, not just for fashion but when she had no one left to go to. I LOVE CINNA! Forever and always.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments :*( Poor Cinna. POOR EVERYONE!!

message 38: by Faith Noelle (new)

Faith Noelle Smith Yeah, I agree.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

I think Catching Fire is the one middle book I've read that didn't suffer middle-book syndrome.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments Really? yES, it was certainly as good as THG.

message 41: by Faith Noelle (new)

 Faith Noelle Smith Really?

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

I suppose...

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments It was!

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments I am going to comment since it hasn't been commented on in a while..So Catching Fire..Did you like the whole beginning part, before the QQ? Nothing really went on, but I liked it because it gave you an insight on what the daily life of a victor is like.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

True...but Katniss and Peeta aren't normal victors; one, there were two of them, and two, I doubt any victor other than Haymitch had ever riled up the Capitol during the Games.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 523 comments Yes...yes..Poor Haymitch.
