Great!! I just went to amazon and read a description of it, I can't wait. I loved Rolands flashbacks the best. :)
Oh, I HATED Wizard and Glass. Seems like that's the book everyone either LOVED or LOATHED. I was of the former camp, lol. Reading that book was sheer torture and I couldn't wait for it to be over. I am assuming you are talking about that one? The Waste Lands and Wolves of the Calla were my favorites. So, the ending of the series . . . did you like it or no?
I definitely DID NOT like the ending. I suppose I'm spoiled and like a happy ending. But I'll check into the new book. Thanks Dani
Yes I was talking about Wizard and Glass, the flashbacks are my favorite. LOL. I did not like the ending of the series. :( I like a happy ending too.
I think I fall into the minority. I loved the ending. I don't think that it could have ended any other way for Roland.
I also liked the ending-- it is like a chance at redemption-- do overs and such. A type of reincarnation?
I guess it could be like redemption but I felt bad for Roland and thought he should get a break. lol
Wasn't that the whole point though Princess? And Katie, SK fans are FREAKS about spoilers. I would mark that post as a spoiler. If someone stumbles across that and it ruins the entire ending of the DT series for them they might hunt you down!
(spoiler)That doesn't look like too much of a break.... But from what we saw at the end, it seemed to me that this time he was going to get it right.
My favorite book of the series was Wolves of The Calla
, and I can't wait to get my hands on the graphic novels. :)
I need to get the rest of the graphic novels. I only have Gunslinger. :) I agree, thats not too much of a break, but I hope hope hope he gets it right next time.
I always sorta thought of the Dark Tower series to be about the process of writing itself. Roland progresses towards the ending, but then at the end, all he can do is start over and start again, with that great opening line repeated.
I'm just at the begining of Dark tower 1, The Gunslinger, it's more western novel than fantasy but I enjoy this one. I'm not a fan of S.King but I must say that he has a great narrative voice!
