I was wondering if anyone thought that Hermione's line (from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone)the part of the movie after they have a run in with Fluffy the three headed dog, "....before you get us killed, or worse expelled" . I find that line to be funny because actually getting killed is worse than getting expelled.

Yeah that is funny. I also like when they talk to Hagrid about Fluffy and he says "Who told you 'bout Fluffy?" and Hermione goes "That thing has a name?"
I also thought the expelled line was funny. Things must be different in her mind because to me getting killed, or even maimed a little, is significantly worse than getting expelled. If I had a choice I'd go with expulsion any day of the week.Doesn't Hermione call Draco a slimy little cockroach or is it a pathetic little cockroach? Well, either way, I like that line a lot!
The line that Hermione says to Draco is "You foul loathsome evil little cockroach!" Okay, I think it is wierd to rather be expelled then die guys. I'd die if I were expelled from school! Especially if it was Hogwarts! I'd rather die then have to leave school!
Thanks for the line! I love that line! I know a guy who I could totally use that line on, I just couldn't remember what the exact wording was.I'd also die if I was expelled from school -- die from embarassment and shame, but being KILLED is worse than anything I can imagine. That's the thing that always struck me as strange about her line, being expelled is worse than being killed. Although, I'd die if I was allowed to go back to the school I was expelled from, the way rumors work in school it would just be better to go to a different one. Maybe the school Fluer attended if I got kicked out of Hogwarts (how embarassing for me).
this is not a line but does anyone remember that scene in 'goblet of fire' when harry & ron were discussing how to get dates for the yule ball in snape's class? it was not in the book but i enjoyed snape's efforts to keep the two from talking but concetrate in their work. i loved that last part where snape grabbed the two heads and directed them to their books. hahahaha! at least he didn't get any points from their house.
oh i loved that line because of the way she said it in the movie, but i don't think its that funny cause being expelled is like a major thing to Hermione Granger. cause she's smart, and she loves studying and school. so if she were to have a choice between being killed or expelled i think she'll pick killed. and even for me too, i'll rather be killed than expelled. i love school. haha.
i love this line from the 2nd book..its from hermione granger..he said this to ron after a failed attempt to elevate the feather. "stop stop! ur doin it wrong. its le-vi-o-sa, not levi-o-sar!"hahahah!!
I love that line too Anj! That is a great line.I like when the twins talk together. It doesn't really matter what they're saying, just that they are saying it together. Like in Prisoner of Azkaban when they give Harry the Marauder's Map. They talk together, then they alternate. I love that!
i know what you mean, tara. in the GOF movie when the twins were putting their names in the goblet they were just saying the word, "YES". but the way they say it, twice, it's just lovable! and then they fought.... no!!!!! ^_^
I think that if I was expelled from Hogwarts it would be worse then dead, Ashley. Think about it, it's kind of like dying and being kissed by a dementor. You probably would rather die, being kissed by a dementor takes away your sole and you are left with nothing.
I'm kind of siding with Mckenzie.... but really there are other schools. With the way I am however if somebody told me id either die or get expelled i would know i would die cuz im too good to do anything that bad. Also, remember when hermione punched malfoy? that was like the greatest thing ever. Or how about when moody turned malfoy into a ferret? bad things happening to malfoy is funny until the seventh book cuz then you feel kind of sorry for him...or at least I do. Oh, and by the way...I don't think expulsion is to death as the demontors kiss is to death is a very good example, no offense mckenzie.
