Christian Gallego (christiantzm) | 11 comments Hello Ginger and everyone else. My name is Christian. Its such a pleasure to be here. A HUGE thank you to Ginger to making all of this wonderful information that allows laymen to educate themselves on neuroscience in a way that gives them an thorough awareness that is nearly on the cutting edge of this awesome field. I'm 29 and I live in Mesa, Arizona. A couple years ago I was finally shown the light on what science is really about, how it is the best most honest way to chip away at the true nature of our world, and how it is closer to our problems than anyother system. I'm all about problem solving. I emphasis using the scientific method with human concern. My focus lies in using science to help the blind to see, help the deaf to hear, to maximize the agricultural yield in order to feed more starving people, resolving issues like ADD and OCD, dyslexia, phantom limb syndrome, autism, dementia, heart disease, cancer, stroke, degeneration of the retina, etc. I seem to gravitate torwards work in neuroplasticity and the massive potentials there. So far I am a fan of the work of Merzenich and Paul Bach-y-Rita. But I'm very happy to be here and look forward to learning all the ins and outs of this science, what we know, and all about how the brain works and how to work with it to treat detrimential conditions and maximize the brains potential. I hope to become a multidisciplinarian, though brain science seems to be much more relevant to our problems than most other fields, so this will likely be a major lifelong affair for me. Pleasure to be here. Thank you all.

Hi Christian.

One of the things I really love about neuroscience is that it really is a multidisciplinary effort. It draws on so many different fields. I hope it is leading the way to a more cross discipline approach to science.
