Welcome to October, everyone!

It’s a brand new month, so we have two new Books of the Month to discuss. For October, you selected:

- October Fantasy: American Gods by Neil Gaiman (a repeat BotM for the group, first discussed in 2006, pre-Goodreads)
- October Science Fiction: Feed by Mira Grant

There are a couple of starter topics up for each book, but please feel free to start more. If anyone wishes to lead the discussion for either of these books, please let Stefan or Candiss know ASAP.


We also have our schedule set for the next couple of months:

- November Fantasy: City of Bones by Martha Wells
- November SF: Ringworld by Larry Niven

- December Fantasy: Of Blood and Honey by Stina Leicht
- December SF: Spin by Robert Charles Wilson (another repeat BotM from years ago)


In other news, our long-term series read project is moving along steadily. The current book is The Honor of the Queen, book #2 in the Honor Harrington/Honorverse series by David Weber, which continues through October 15, when we will begin discussing book #3, The Short Victorious War. Discussion topics for each book in the series will remain open indefinitely, so feel free to jump in any time. Thanks to Chris for running this series read!
