Personally, I despise the series for reasons i will list later but first i would like to ask everyone to refrain from posting

I LOVE EDWARD a thousand times. honestly, let's just have a nice clean debate :)

reasons why i hate twilight

Stephanie Meyer's characters are one-dimensional, shallow, and never have to suffer the consequences of their actions
----example a: Bella gets preggers and doesn't have to suffer through nine months of pregnancy and the baby grows up in two weeks. What kind of lesson does that teach the people reading??
----example b: Bella is the worst "heroine" i have ever come across in literature. she is whiny, insecure, constantly judging the people around her, and cannot seem to do anything by herself



Stephanie Meyer's writing style is monotonous and repetitive. ------She must describe Edward's voice as "velvety" at least half a dozen times.
----She wastes page after page on arbitrary details like what Bella cooked for dinner.



I would go on but i think thats enough for now

ok.

-first, the book is for entertainment and not for educational purposes.

-second, the book is fictional so anything can happen

-lastly, a "heroine" can be anything or anyone, based on the author view, so it doesn't matter how clumsy and helpless she is.


Stephenie Meyer states that (how velvety Edward's voice is) to remind us readers how exotic he is ( I guess )

HA if you think that a stalker and a perverted 100 year old vampire is "exotic" then you have a pretty twisted mind. I hate twilight because:

-Edward is a controlling dipstick who thinks he needs to protect bella, the helpless heroine(as I like to call her)
-Where is the plot in these books?!

-Bella "my life is boring. i'm boring. edward save me from my boring self. i'm nothing without edward! umm bella, i hate to break it to you hun but you were never ANYTHING! even WITH the perv.

-Jacob, deranged rapist who falls in love with mutant baby(WTF?!?!)

Okay, I'm a Twilight lover . And one day, i was searching on the internet.And i found out that people hated twilight. I was soooo freaked out. So I started doing some "twilight haters" research, to enlighten myself.

So, what i ahev concluded is that i will stop saying twilight is the best book in the whole wide world. it isnt. to me, maybe. ITs not the smartest, the most well written book, ect. but its the story i love, the characters!!!

SOME POINTS YOU GUYS JUST CANT MAKE BECAUSE THERE ARE SUCH BETTER ONES OUT THERE:
1) Jacob is not a pedophile. there is nothing sexual about his relationship with renesmee. Okay,that was a horrible part in breaking dawn, but don't blama jake!
2) Twilight is, for obvious reasons, not a typical vampire book. it doesnt try to be. so if this is why you dont like it, then read some more traditional ones.
3) There's no argument to make that the vampires in Twilight are not evil enough. If you have only read the 1st book you wouldn't know this, but in New Moon something GREAT happens. The Volturi are introduced!! My favorite characters ever. And they're pretty evil. Good enough??? See, twilight vampires do get better than the cullens!

I love twilight. i also realize its pretty ridiculous, which is why i love making fun of it just as much.
so dont judge me, okay??

But i juz wanna say that,
TWILIGHT is romance story.not SCIENCE. Ever u realize that?

Like Jamain and Fifi said before is rite.
It just a FICTION..
so anything could be happen.
So dont be confuse about it.
And remember, SM is the author, so up to her she want to write things like that.

Ok , if u think that bella are the typical girl like u list previously, dont be wonder about it.
If BELLA became a perfect girl, so theres nothing special in this book.

Thats why bella became SPECIAL in this book. I mean to complete the story..

you mean she became SPECIAL(though she was "special" before in the books if you know what I mean) to complete a SPECIAL stupid story! I see your point now...

I never said Twilight was the best book in the world. Noo, there are far too many tween girl books out there for twilight to be categorized as the worst...

i wish smeone would just delete BOTH groups based on Twilight so we can concentrate on more important things....like how our lives will END if Obama wins!!

Lol, hon, there's so many groups that revolve around Twilight (Hating it, Loving it, hating those who love it and hating those who hate it, hating those who hate people who hate it etc.), that I don't think it'd be possible to get rid of them all.

i like twilight. I think the book ia quite OK to read, but it doesnt mean cause i like the book so i dont like the people Who hate that book, or fighting cause a book, it so silly.

Ok maybe we are have different perspective bout twilight, but i dont want we make crush each other..

I'm new here, though I am not new in hating the Twilight books. I admit, I read and liked the first one, but the other three ruined the whole first one even though it is the one I prefer (though I still think it is . . . well, lets be nice, 'not my taste'.

A few things I love to vent to everybody:
1- Everybody loves Edward like he is real. All my friends do! It is disgusting. They talk about if Edward were here, and I would so marry Edward, yeck, yuck, bleh . . . and same with Jacob.
2- She is not a developed writer. My friend (who is fourteen) is writing a book that is better than this one.
3- She totally succumbed to the evilness of today's society. If she had kept it innocent, I would have liked them better. Ew, I don't care if people think it is 'romantic'. It is disgusting.
4- What is with the whole 'Girls will like boys better if they read the Twilight books.' Ew, boys that have read them gross me out. Who in their right minds would read them? I prefer somebody who isn't trapped in stupid fads and doesn't read about sickening 'romance' between a sissy girl and a fake supernatural freak.
5- I found a similar kind of book, and (though it is simple and the writer is as undeveloped as SM) I like it so much more! It is called the Vampire Diaries by L. J. Smith. The plot and sort of characters almost parallel Twilight series, but it was made 14 years earlier. Eire? or copyright! Jk, but I am wondering.
6- Ew.


I just don't like those books! And I was being somewhat nice in that post. I am not trying to rag completely on SM, because she as a person isn't so bad, it is her writing and her train of thought for the books. And all the stupid people who are OBSESSED with that book!

7- It is implying that cheating on your . . . well, vampire 'boyfriend' for a 'werewolf' is okay, as long as you really love him.

you have some good points there Kate....but the one about boys reading twilight.....i have only caught one boy reading it (we borrow books from each other)....and he's a luvable/adorkable/nerd.... so ya....i don't think it makes a guy better or worse...wouldn't really know cuz the "nerd" (AKA Zaquarie) is the only one i've met who's read it...EVERY other one has been a GIRL!!

i somewhat like Bella....but it's Jacob I relate to....

i luv this guy, and i KNOW he has feelings for me....but this other girl is the "edward" and i'm only "Jacob" (don't tell me if that changes cuz i only read through eclipse)....

the only reason i want to read Breaking Dawn...is to see if Bella actually OPENS her eyes and sees Jacob is better for her.....to see if there's hope for me.....

Ok so for a while i was ADDICTED to these books. Like, i read them constantly. But then i started reading actual GOOD books and...now i just cant stand em. Well i like New moon (cause jacob is the best) but i hated eclipse bella is so WHINYYYY!!!!!!!!!

And Breaking Dawn....UGHHHH!!!!!!!! iT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!
After like 200 pages of battle preperation theres not fight???

I HATED when they went to their stupid fairy tale cabin! it was like ok. we'll put our mutant kid to bed in the room NEXT to ours, and then, we all know what happens next. how does mutant baby NOT wake up?!

I think you'll find the answer in this phrase 'MUTANT baby', which, of course, means that she can sleep through anything.

I can imgaine mutant baby walking in on them. Mutant baby: "MY INNOCENCE!!!!!!!!" Edward: "What innocence?"
