Amazon Kindle & Fire discussion

Lying on a plush couch by a big sliding glass door that looks out on our backyard, which at the moment has plenty of colorful falling leaves. Tea or hot chocolate next to me (depending on temperature). K3 in hand.

Just about anywhere.

I do like ready access to snacks and beverages, though.

In my back sunroom with large open windows that let in lots of light on a nice comfy recliner chair

In my 2nd floor "little den" in my dad's barcalounger. This used to be my dad's lair until he passed away a few months ago. Now I know why he loved it so much. Cozy bec it's lined with bookshelves, light from windows, with a view of trees and sky; occasional sounds from the street, but not much.

My husband's a fisherman. My favorite place to read is out on the boat with him, in the sunshine, with the quiet all around.

Right now with the weather being just perfect, I like to read on our patio in the back yard and watch the squirrels tease my dog. I love reading the Kindle in natural light. The technology = no glare. I have low vision so making the font larger is a real gift.

On the glider on the front porch; on the couch snuggled up with a couple of our six dogs; laying in bed snuggled with more dogs; in my car on my lunch break; in line at the grocer's.... I think you get the idea.

I read in my chair mostly. When it's summer and warm out I'll read outside with my feet propped up but the darn bugs bite me too much so that doesn't last long.

I read mostly in bed before I go to sleep, but I also like to read in my recliner with the dog curled up with me. Or on the glider in my back yard.

Pretty much anywhere!

Aww, cuddling up with dogs and a book sounds so nice!

I totally agree - we love to go out to the lake and Bobby fishes and I read! the quiet is so conducive to concentrating on a book!

Perfect, isn't it? I'm missing it today, though. 55 degrees and raining. The only thing out on the lake are the pelicans. :(

Listening to audiobooks while walking sounds like a great idea!

I use the text to speach feature on my kindle. It took a bit of adjusting, but it works well for me now (and I don't have to pay those high costs for audio books).

I typically read just about anywhere: in bed, in a recliner, on the couch, in a rocking chair. As weird as it sounds, I actually enjoy reading my Kindle at bookstores and libraries.

I read anywhere I can, I always carry my Droid with me, so I always have my current books, that will sync with my kindle and laptop. I sneak into empty conference rooms, and just the other day, I was stuck in an elevator at work, and I was disappointed that they were able to get me out in just 20 mins. I use public transportation to commute back and forth to work, so I always have time to read.

I like to read either in the comfy over-sized leather chair in our living room, the couch or in bed.

I find lying on my bed in a dimly lit room to be the most comfotable.

I have to pretty much agree with everyone here!! I read where ever and when ever I can!!!

Doesn't sound weird to me. It is quiet and you are surrounded by books. What is not to love?

I read everywhere. I like to listen to an audiobook just about anywhere. I read at night before bed and when I get tired I switch to audio. I usually have 2 books going at a time for this reason.

In my recliner, or my bed. And I always have something to read when I have a doctor appointment or getting my chemo. In the warm weather, I love to sit outside!

I read my kindle every night before going to bed, and everywhere else, especially doctor appointments

I read everywhere and anywhere...at the doctor's office, in the car, in bed at night, or even at Burger King while waiting for my order...it is so much easier to carry a book now then it was before so I read whenever I can get a couple of minutes together at the same time. When at home I like to have something to drink close by...I find that reading makes me thirsty...go figure.

Normally I love reading in bed or on the couch under an afghan (cold weather brrrr) but lately I've also read while standing in line at the Motor Vehicle Office and while waiting at the bank to see my account rep. Love my Kindle.

Is there anywhere I don't read is the question. My Fire is always within reach (was my K3 till last week). If I have 5 minutes, I'm reading. When I'm at home, I like to read in bed or on the couch but if my kids are around, I hide in the bathroom and lock the door :o) I put up with the computer voice so I listen to my Kindle and now my Fire and when I can't sit and read I let it read to me so when I'm grocery shopping or driving or cleaning house. I pretty much don't watch TV. I either read or listen to books.
