I really enjoyed this series and think it would be good as films. I think it might be a little too much like Harry Potter, though. What do you think?

No. 'Cause in the first book Sophie and Josh thought the whole thing is movie effect, so it wouldn't be convincing if it's made into a movie
Yes! There's definitely enough action to keep the directors happy, and I could think of some good actors that could play the people. Even if they didn't follow the book, It'd still be good.
Yeah, whay not? It's a good story, nice plot, twisted characters, so, what the hell if they compaere it with Harry Potter, a critic is a good way to get better.
I think it could be a film. But they would need to make it into one movie. I dont think it would do well as a series.
I do not think that the book series should be ruined by making it into a movie. These directors need to let sleeping dogs lie.
it's a good book but not many people think this series is as good as twilight or harry potter so,if this series made into movies, probably it would make itworst
These books should absolutely be a movie I think it would be really good. I think it would be different from the Harry Potter movies. I think these book as a movie would be enjoyed by all not just young adults.
The movie rights have actually been optioned twice now - the first time by New Line (who made Lord of the Rings) and then recently by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who makes the Transformers movies. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118...What I have discovered is that movies take a very long time to happen.
I do not think it will be six movies, but possibly three, with each movie made up from two books. So, the first movie will combine The Alchemyst and The Magician.

I really don't think they could pull it off. It would be cool but I'm the kind of person who needs every detail.... I like your idea Michael with 3 movies instead if all six. And there would be merchandise :D I just never thought the series as a movie...hmmmmm
Can't wait for The Enchantress!Michael wrote: "The movie rights have actually been optioned twice now-the first time by New Line (who made Lord of the Rings) and then recently by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who makes the Transformers movies.htt..."
That is wonderful, I can't wait to see them!

I'm only going on the third book (didn't even know they went higher). Not a bad series and I believe my daughter and son would watch them, movie or program...I think it might be a good idea

It is great for teaching mythology, don't you think?
No. I think it is better to allow a series of books to remain books so people can read them and use their own imagination.
It is being made into a movie, not till 2014 though. Might be good, would love to see who would play Scathatch!!!!
No. The movie industry usually leaves parts out of the movie and if you leave out even some small details in the rush to make it 2, 2-1/2 hours long... No.
This would be possibly a good series of movies but each movie would be lord of the rings long to maybe cover two books
the should make each of the books into a movie
Let me confirm that there is a movie in the works and the new plan is one movie per book. I will write the first draft of the script, so I'll ensure that it retains as many elements from the books as possible. But of course, the movie will differ from the books in some small ways. I say that this would make an awesome film in the future, because the story has a lot of action and suspence and tragedies too.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTSSSSSSSSSSSSSS COMING OUT AS A MOVIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would be pissed off if they made it into a movie, also they suck more and more the further you keep reading in my opinion, they were awesome at first and now they kind of suck :P didn't even bother reading the last one, I tried

i think that they should have 20 year old people play Sophie and Josh. I think that Nicholas Cage should play the alchemyst
Yes! It has all the feature I would LOVE in a movie. Great fantasy and action scenes. It has all the potential for a movie! (At least, that's what I think)
I would love for it to become a movie. The only problem is that the books don't occur at the pace of a year every book, it's more like 2-3 days in a book. There's enough content, but there are 6 books. The last one would have to be split up into two parts. The actors would age and everything.I've just ruined my own dreams.
If there's any way this is possible than I have hope and I salute whoever comes up with the solution.
I think it should be but it would take a LONG time because they have to make the effects for the monsters and everything :/
I would love to see one of my favorite series in a movie, but after one movie the audience may lose exitement for it...
I tweeted Michael Scott about this before and he replied. He said there may very well be a film for the series. I guess it will be on post production in 2013. I really can't wait.
It would be pretty cool for this series to be turned into a film saga, but the only problem with it is that it would be extremely drawn out. You have to think about the fact that all six books take place over a time period of a week, meaning that each movie would only consist of about a day of activities. There's also the major shifts between characters to consider. Each chapter shifts to what character B has been doing while we were reading about character A. This element of the novels would make it very difficult for producers to turn them into a comprehensive movie without anyone getting lost in the plot. If you're wondering: yes, I have spent alot of time thinking about this! It would be cool if they could pull it off, but I just don't think they can.
Definitely !! My fav character is Scathach and Id love to see, how the movie makers would present her to us. Probably I will be very disappointed , still I would love to see the books on the big screen
Kati has a good point. I'm also afraid that they would make a totally different story in the movie, unless Michael Scott will collaborate with them just like what JK Rowling did. They might also remove scenes from the book, which I don't like, just so they can make the movie work.
But if you're gonna ask me, I'd like Robert Downey Jr. to play Nicholas. I don't know I just think he's the perfect actor for this role. And maybe Catherine Zeta Jones for Perenelle.
