Clearly I don't get much done at work with all the surfing going on ;) !
Also (and consider this a recommendation!) nataliedee.com
she's part of a ring of (in my opinion) pretty funny webcomics. They do them daily. And if you like her comics you should try out the links in her top right corner.
It's a certain kind of humor, but it's worth seeing if you like it.
Kate- I love natalie dee. And toothpaste for dinner and married to the sea. You should check out xkcd.com a softer world and perry bible fellowship. Wow I love webcomics. Haha.
I am a Cubs fan so of course Cubs.com is on my daily visit list.
If you have a lot of time to waste, and want a good laugh, faceinhole.com is great fun. It lets you put your friends' and family's faces into existing movie posters, or magazine covers, or I even think there is a cartoon section.

I was wondering if anyone uses any other book club/book recommendation type of websites or is goodreads the only one worth being on. I was just curious if there are other forums similar to here. I love finding new websites to become addicted to haha.
the only other one that i know of like this is shelfari..i didn't get into it..GR is the place to be!! :)
also..allconsuming.net is a really good place to get recommendations for books and movies.

projectplaylist.com
craftster.org
flickr is pretty awesome but I haven't checked it out in such a loooong time
and I've glanced at allconsuming.net before, but didn't take the time to really look at it, but it seems really interesting.
ooh i love some of these websites..definitely will have to check some out. i like alot of these already but some others that i don't think were mentioned:Librivox.org
literature-map.com
Bookfinder.com
just found this music blog earlier... seems good so far.prettymuchamazing.com
not sure if anyone has heard of it...
Jen, that looks like an awesome site! Plus I saw advertising for my fav online store so it's good in my book!
oh man..so..on facebook they have this new application called picnik..you can mess around with your photos and stuff..very addicting. i'm having way too much fun right now and should really go to bed haha.
oooh, they have picnik on facebook now? they have that on flickr and i always spend wayyy too much time playing with it.
The free movie site watch-movies.net is one of my favorite sites (cause I'm a student = broke!). It was gone for a few days (because apparently they were moving) and I thought maybe they were gone forever (SCARY!), but I found them again! Their forum is decent too. The new address is:
watch-movies-links.net
Lorianne wrote: "Are there any movie sites like goodreads? Where you can add a to-read list, etc, etc?"On watch-movies-links.net you can create your own playlists, but you can't delete them or update your playlist, so if you make a movies-i-need-to-watch playlist it will always exist on your account with the movies you've added to it even after you watch the them. You can browse other user's playlists though (to look for movies you want to see). You can do that by either going to the playlist tab, or by clicking on other user's names and checking to see if they have a playlist. There are no 'private' settings, in case that matters to you...
Of all the movie sites, watch-movies is BY FAR the best (and I've checked a lot), but another good site is hulu.com (they have TV stuff (even some cancelled TV shows) and a smaller selection of movies).
Hope that helps...good luck. (Nothing compares to goodreads though)
Aahh these are my favorite sites:www.joshreads.com (The Comics Curmudgeon--hilarious)
www.katebeaton.com (her livejournal is pretty much the same except more like a blog: beatonna.livejournal.com -- she is also hilarious, i love her)
and failblog.org
I've now become addicted to Twitter..so we can add that to the list lol. Oh and http://www.dayzeroproject.com/
I'm on Facebook, Gmail... Whatever I'm reading on my Google Reader. I have quite a few subscriptions (FringeBloggers, Club Trillion, Stuff Under Twenty, etc).StumbleUpon...
I think that's about it.
I have a Twitter, but I've only used it a couple of times. I'm sure I'll become addicted once I make it more of a habit.
Haha, thanks, Nools. It's so addicting! I can sit there for hours, just traveling to random web sites. I love it.
I can't imagine what I'd do during some of my more boring classes without it... lol.
Lol! Oh no... I should have added a disclaimer to my post. Use of this web site will result in massive quantities of unproductivity.
Oh god. Stumbleupon is SO addictive. why did i look at this thread? Like I need any more things to make me unproductive!!
Haha, I hadn't realized so many people checked out StumbleUpon.Sorry, guys! But it's so great. It's never been easier to just waste hours of time in one sitting.
They even have a feature that allows you to stumble when you're using a computer or browser that doesn't have the toolbar installed. So I can even Stumble at work! lol.
Any other addicting websites?
For shopping addicts like myself..I can't stay away from bluefly.com & ideeli.com

I am not totally sure it is legit, but if I have a few minutes to waste, I like freerice.com. It says it donates rice to the UN Food Program for how much you play their game. Not really challenging, but a good time waster, and hopefully for a good cause.
Drew, I've been to asofterworld.com, that guy's friend is Kate Beaton who is my favorite web comic author. Her site is harkavagrant.com and it's hilarious, especially if you like history.
Mario Kart Love Song on Youtube! I am now addicted, although I haven't purchased the MP3 on Amazon yet. Yet. It has supplanted Kiwi and Miss South Carolina the Musical as my favorite Youtube video.
http://wordpress.com this is a blogging website. Really cool site. You can manage more than one blog on this site. Here are my blogs: http://bookautopsy.wordpress.com
