Wild Things: YA Grown-Up discussion

Sign up here for swap #19. This is a themed round: Food - use a YA book with a type of food in the title, about food, or with some kind of food on the cover.

Sign ups will end on November 1st.
Bookmarks will ship on November 15th.
Bookmarks will be opened on November 30th.

These are the rules:

1. You make or buy a bookmark themed around your choice of a YA book (but handmade is way cool!)
2. You are responsible for shipping your bookmark to your swap person at your own expense NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH! Be prepared to possibly send it out of the country.
3. Have fun and be creative!!! How you represent your book on your bookmark is totally and completely up to you.
4. Open your new bookmark as a group on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30TH!
5. Take a picture of the bookmark you receive to share with the group!

The goal is pretty much to just share a book you like in an unique way. Feel free to message me your address in the meantime, I will hang onto it and confirm your spot in the swap here.

Thanks Vicki! I hadn't really thought about the connection to eating disorder books (on some of the food lists), but certainly they fit as well. That really opens this theme up to a ton of books.

You guys can also check the Book Challenge posts. Task 3.2 is the food on cover task.

I was so excited and thought I got a bookmark when it was mine!!!! Well and empty envelope that I got returned. SOOOO I will head out a buy one today and mail it out ASAP

SO i made one in a flash! It is not how I wanted it but I kinda stuck with the first one I made but given the time it is kinda plain and the colors are not the same but all in all it is in the mail.

Oh and I got one in the mail as well!

That's adorable Angela! I took pictures of mine and I'll try to get it posted tonight. Mine came from Donna, from the book Skinny.

OPened mine and I love it!!! Ran out of the house and forgot to bring it along. I will post a pic when I get home after work.

Sorry Amy that it was not the original one! I made the first one kinda similar but with the pink ice cream and different beading at the top but I had to recreate it in seconds because I have no idea where the orignal is!!!!

My bookmark is for the book .

It's designed to look like a Hershey's chocolate bar, as the main character's secret lover is "Mr. Hershey". I love it; Hershey's chocolate is my favorite!

I'm out of town for a couple of days, so I'll have to post pictures when I get back.
