That's good enough a reason for me, for all I know, I might end up living in Denmark, so why not eh.
That's the right attitude Woolfie! Now, would you kindly introduce yourself? And Velkommen!(welcome)
Hej mit navn er Ross, og jeg bruger Google Translate!(Hi my name is Ross, and I'm using Google translate:p)
Seriously though, thanks Em, you know my name (see above)I'm 28, live in Malaysia, working as a content editor/writer for a company that produces comics, erm what else?
Though, danish isn't like most languages. It actually litterally translates into English. I'll take the rule under consideration.
Off to the making of topics!

Mange tak for joining the group! :D
Velkommen Tom, hvis vi skal være meget præcise så kan jeg tilføje at språk vidst er svensk eller norsk og at det hedder sprog på dansk, og at "joining the group" vil hedde "tilslutte dig gruppen". Men ellers godt gået, og Velkommen!
Tak :) Sorry Josephine, I occasionally get mixed up with some Swedish words :P I learnt a little Swedish a few years ago, and I suppose it's still somewhere in my mind, and so, when learning Danish it occasionally comes out a little bit Swedish :DJeg taler lidt dansk og svensk.
Jag talar lille danska och svenska.
But, Danish is what I want to learn, and I just have to overwrite the Swedish words with the Danish ones. I'm very much a beginner though.
Hey, det er godt gået af en nybegynder at kunne skrive sådan på dansk og at du kan svensk kan kun være en hjælp for dig, for dansk og svensk ligner hinanden meget på nogle punkter. Men bare bliv ved med at prøve det er ikke så slemt endda =P
Welcome Josephine and Tom, dunno what you're saying but it certainly reads interesting. I'm using the association some Danish words have with English as my 'white cane' at the moment.
:D Josephine was just telling me that I was using some swedish words, rather than the Danish ones :D I get them mixed up every now and then.
Hey you guys, im doing a project in school about being danish, and i wanted to ask you:
What do you think of when you think of Denmark?
And What do you know about denmark without using google?
Thank you so much =P

Well fr what it's worth, and without using google:p to me Denmark represents the southernmost, I think of the Scandinavian nations, the capital of which is the cool sounding Copenhagen, and it's native population should never be confused with a breed of dog which has the adjective Great before it!Also being a fan of Eurpean football, Denmark has the rare honour of winning the European Cup in 1992, a competition they didn't even qualify for, unless I'm mistaken, and the home of one of world football's most famous trio, the Laudrup brothers Michael and Brian, and of course Peter Schmeichel!
Hej emily and TomI am the author of The Queen of Granada /Dronningen af Granada, written simultaneously in English and Danish. Reading both at the same time can help you grow your vocabulary very fast and learn Danish in a short time. I have put two shorts video books, in English and Danish, on YouTube, where you can have a taste of the story. You can find a link to those videos on the book's homepage, mzriffi.blogspot.com

My name is emily, lowercase e, because I'm special! Anywho, I'm your quirky, happy go lucky mod, who started this group because of my cousin. This noble quest has lead my around the Internet, but I need help. I can't learn an entire language on my lonesome, and I have a little under a year to be able to hold up a conversation. So, help me out my friends!
