Do you think Katniss really loved Peeta at the end?? I think so..but some people don't..What do you think??

I think she did. She didn't strike me as the type to settle. Plus Peeta gave her something Gale never did, his heart plain and simple. Also Peeta showed her time and time again how much she meant to him, Gale just showed her how he would provide for her. There's a difference.

Well I personally think Katniss would have been better off with Gale, especially after the Capitol made Peeta all weird towards the end, but I think she did truly love him at the end.

I think soo because I think she always loved him deep down and she just denied it....also he when he was hijacked and he came hated her and then he made his way back to her! I am so happy they got married and had kids and she never wanted too! Peeta is soo good for her!!

I think the characters in THG were not passionately in love. I like that from Dystopia novel.

Katniss was surely in love with Peeta to be able to join him in matrimony. She might take 15 long years to have children but I think Peeta would love her regardless that. I think the children made Peeta happy but they were important for Katniss in getting over her trauma of having children.

I agree

I think she loved him but I was expecting something more emotional, like in the first and second book, to convince me that Katniss was in love with him and didn't just love him for convienience. Halfway through the third book I thought she loved him but I wasn't very emotionally drawn at the end.

Yes, i think she loved him, but not as much as he loved her. I also think she could have loved anyone if she was with them for long enough. If peeta wasnt around but gale was she would have fallen for him

Yeah agree and I also think Peeta loved her more and longer than she did for him.

I was honestly hoping for Peeta, but thought she would've ended up with Gale for some reason! Was so happy when it was Peeta in the end! He really loved her!

I totally thought he was the underdog. That's why I was rooting for him! The way she talked about Gale made me feel like she liked him more. But towards the end, you can tell she was meant for peeta!

Exactly! You don't understand how nervous I was reading towards the end for some reason! I honestly thought Peeta was not gonna be the one waiting for her, but thank goodness he was! I loved Gale too, don't get me wrong, its just that Peeta and her were much cuter together in my opinion.

Tell me about it. The entire time they were together (Peeta and Katniss) even if it was for show, it seemed natural. They were too adorable! And I was so pissed when he got hijacked too! That's when you knew she loved him though. When she was always worried about him!

lol, too funny! He isnt the cutest person in the world, but I felt like he could portray peeta's personality well or at least he better! Then it would be horrible all around!

I do think Katniss was in love. She just didn't know how to say it, and at times, she didn't know how to express it, either. From my point of view, that was one of her fears - to speak her emotions.

There were many survivors after the war against Capitol and I think some of them were people from D-12. SC did not include them in the ending. Well...she didn't even include Gale.

I meant to say that SC did not include Gale in the ending, just a glimpse of what Katniss thought Gale might do in D-2, not Gale himself.

I loved the Hunger Games but I agree about Peeta needs a srtonger Katniss....MockingJay wa my least favorite book!

I think she had a great ending..A nice, quiet life with Peeta..What else could she ask for?? I know that she wouldn't want to go into the whole rebuilding business..In fact, I think she was pretty happy at the end.

me too..Mostly, I just want to know how Annie + Finnick's child is..how Haymitch is hanging in there..what happened to Gale's family, what happened to Gale..how Katniss's mother coped..and what happened between Katniss +Peeta..I just wish there was an actual scene instead of two sentences..that showed that they actually loved each other..but the two sentence wait it was 3 ,sorry, were cute

I think there should be a forth book, one that goes back and looks at what happened during those 20 years!

OF COURSE! The very last page of the book (not including the epilogue) was the best page out of all three of the books! It was amazing!
