Recently I have been a part of another group where I would like to recommend them some books by Pakistani writers but I can not decide on any. I guess the problem is, I judge books at times very critically. The only book I want to recommend is Moth Smoke. I also want to suggest Raja Gidh but as far as I know its not translated in English.

I am lost, may be I am missing out on books from my own country. Would someone like to suggest some book for to read and/or recommend?

Actually, anything Kamile Shamsie ever wrote, I haven't read her extensively, but from all that i've heard, she is something else altogether.

If you have read Moth Smoke that you should also read 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist' by Mohsin Hameed, same author. Its one of my kinds of book :-).
