As you rise up into the arena, the first thing you see is a volcaano. You are on a silver metal plateform, above a flowing lake of lava. You are all in a circle, facing you district partner. You feel the warmth of the lava on your face, as you look around. There are many other silver plateforms, barley within jumping distance, they go on as far as you can see, and most of them are small, maybe enough room for three people, but every once in a while there is a special platform, with something on it. In your view there is a plateform with a fountain (is the water poision?), and a apple tree. These plattforms are bigger. You wonder what else is out there? Will the laver get bigger? Can you make the jump? You look at the pile of weapons and good in the golden cornicopia and-. The signle sounds and it's time to begin!!

Dannet froze, unable to move with fear as the games began.

Drew watched, then ran for the weapons.

Sano ran by his allies, prepared for action.

mason, without thinking, jumped onto the platform one by one. he made his way towards the cornucopia.

jenna flipped herself over the platforms and mde her wa to the cornucopia

River looked around as some of the tributes were attacked by Tracker Jackers, falling from the pain and incinerating long before their bodies reached the bubbling mass of lava beneath them. She spun around, searching for the closest platform as she felt her hair begin to fuzz in the heat.

Kat tightened her fist, and she jumped to a platform, then another, till she made it to the cornucopia. There she grabbed a dagger and a bag

Caylee spotted Sano as she hopped her way over to the cornucopia. She made sure that he stayed in her line of sight. She turned and saw Jenna heading towards the cornucopia as well. Caylee reached the cornucopia and grabbed a large bag, and axe and a spear. She moved away quickly and waited for Sano and Jenna to join her.

Luke looked around for Twilight before starting towards the cornucopia.

Lugria started jumping the platforms, ignoring the Cornicopia, she wanted to get to the apple tree.

River nodded, then leaped for one. Almost missing, she fought the instinctive urge to panic, latching on and pulling herself up. A little harder, but not too hard... she thought, jumping onto the next and landing on her stomach. Gonna have to practice, she thought, murmuring the word practice as she pushed herself to her feet and leaped for the next one, this time landing on her feet. "Brilliant!" She said without thinking, leaping to the next one, and the next, landing at the Cornucopia for just long enough to grab a set of daggers and a small pack before leaping on to the next platform.

Annika slipped into the shadows, following Mason. It was impossible for anyone to see her, which was a huge advantage. Annika grabbed a dagger identical to the one she had stolen from the training center originally. It was small and delicate with a blue tinge, which fit her appearance and personality perfectly. The blue tinge did not last long, though, as she stabbed a boy her own age in the back. He had carelessly bent over with the whole of his back exposed. He fell to the ground, dead, and Annika pryed the backpack he had been holding from his dead fingers.

River continued, jumping lightly from plate to plate, trying as hard as she could not to look down, at the white-hot, smoking magma.

Noah ran to the cornicopia. Graceful as a gazel, he reached it and grabbed two throwing knives and a strong, well balanced shortsword with a wicked gleam to it. He strapped it to his thy and grabbed a backpack, spear, and tomahawk and then turned to run. He didn't need or want allies. But his mind drifted to Annika, the little girl who had impressed him with her sarcastic attitude and skill. He would keep an eye out for her without a doubt and help to an extent. But anyone would be foolish to consider him an ally, with that he ran, jumping from plate to plate easily, making his way to the distance.

River stopped, kneeling down on one knee with her arms straight out behind her, her frizzy hair bouncing about her shoulders and shimmery face as she sat and caught her breath.

Luke was a few platforms away from the cornucopia. He knew exactly what he wanted and spotted it from a distance. Reaching the platform with the cornucopia on it, he picked up a backpack and two sets of daggers that ranged in size. It was all he needed. He glanced around once more, looking for Twilight, before he jumped to the next platform, moving away from the other tributes.

Sano ran over by Caylee and hoped Jenna was following, those tracker jackers were mercyless. He grabbed a pack and a belt of knives, before racing over to Caylee. "Is it hot in here or is it just me?" he muttered to her.

Drew's eyes flashed widley as he doged over by Moiraine, the person next to him was being aten by the bees. "Moiraine." He said, grabbing her hand, and pulling her behind the cornicopia.

River stood, her gaze piercing as she searched the different platforms. An apple tree, no, a few apple trees, several fountains, huh. She leaped again, nearly missing again due to her loss of focus. She pulled herself up again, cursing as her shin bashed the hard edge of the column.

Caylee turned to Sano. "Funny, I thought it was me," she said, smiling at him. "What did you get from the cornucopia?"

"Umm, this back pack and a belt of knives here." he held them up, glancing around. "We should get out of here before those bees get over here."

Annika melded into the shadows and surveyed the competition without being visible. She watched Noah gracefully dance from one plate to another, and she smirked silently. She knew he would bring trouble to the others. She watched River stumble and fall, and held her breath.

Caylee nodded. She looked around and saw Jenna heading towards the cornucopia. "Let's just stay out of the way while we wait for Jenna," she said, leaping onto the next platform.

Kat stayed away from everyone, holding her dagger tightly. She looked side to side, worried. What now? She tapped her foot nervously on the platform and watched

Thunder grabbed back packs using some as shields. After grabbing a good amount he spotted two swords. Perfect for him. The packs were getting quiet heavy so he threw them over to the platform then jumped after. A knife came for his head and he held up a backpack to sheild him. When the knife hit the pack though it exploded. Thunder threw the pack away just in time. He grabbed the swords and the packs and ran towards the direction Kat and Mason went,

Kat looked around and spotted Thunder. She smiled slightly, but was still silently freaking out

"Come on do you want to die?" he asked grabbing the back of Kat's shirt and pulling her with him as he ran past her.

Kat stummbled slightly, but she got out of his grip and ran with him. "No, not really," she answered

Once far enough to be sorta safe Thunder stopped. We need to wait for Mason.

Kat nodded, pushing her hair out of her eyes. She looked around and blinked. Is this what Bree felt like, she thought. Did she feel scared? Or did she feel brave?

Annika gracefully jumped over to Thunder, taking less then a minute to reach him. She landed next to him, crouched, and stood up as though it were very easy. "I know your Mason's ally. I am too," Annika explained, drawing her dagger that was smeared with blood.

((I wasn't sure if we should have just had them know that they were allies or not so...))

Kat looked at the dagger and took a step back from her. She held her own dagger tightly and looked at Annika.

Annika stepped back onto the plate that was behind her, where the thought she had heard a noise. She scanned the plate. Nothing. Shaking her head slightly, she continued. "I'll stay back here until Mason comes. He'll tell you. Even if you don't believe me..." Annika said with tears beginning to form in her eyes. Althea had said almost the exact same thing during her turn in the Hunger Games, before she betrayed her allies. But Annika had nothing of the sort in mind. She, at least, would stay faithful.

Kat bit her lip, but nodded slightly. "Sorry, its just... the blood," she whispered, looking at the dagger Annika had. "And what happened last time. When he chucked it at her. At Bree."
Kat looked away and played with her bracelet, pushing the thought, the memory, away.

Annika shook the head. She bit her lip and looked at the dagger, her eyes blurry with tears now. "I had to... I... Althea..." Annika whispered almost to herself. She had a sudden urge to throw her dagger in in the lava, but her natural instincts prevailed. She needed the dagger to protect herself.

Kat sighed. "I know," she said softly.

Annika fiddled with the point of her dagger, pricking her finger again. It had become a habit. A bad one. A memory raced through her brain, one of Althea showing her the dagger she kept hidden in the house. It had been smeared with dried blood, which Althea told her came from one day when she had skinned a rabbit. But Annika knew better, she knew human blood when she saw it. After that, Annika had always respected her sister's bravery. But was it bravery? "I'll clean it. I'll only use it if I need to." Annikasaid.

"Ok," Kat said. She looked down at the ground, away from the others.

Annika bit her lip and took the chance to search through her backpack. Another dagger, a heavier one, four small water bottles, and some sunglasses that she had heard of but never seen. They were night vision glasses.

((Aw, you guys are getting the band back together...))

Mason found Thunder, Kat, and Althea and stopped to catch his breath.


Jenna grabbed some weapons and started to go back to Sano when something hit her arm. "Ow!" She yelled, but kept running. She caught up to Sano.

((Lol that's funny that you said Althea instead of Annika. :P))

Annika turned to Mason, who was nearly doubled over from lack of breath. "Errr.... Are you okay?" She asked politely.

((oops! didn't realize! haha!))

Mason nodded,"Yeah. This just kinda reminded me of the mines..."

Noah dove forward as a trident came his way, he dodged it gracefully and kept running, jumping from plate to plate. As he came to the point where the distance began to grow between the plates he stopped to evaluate his next move.

Kat looked around. "Um, we should get out of here..." she murmured

(( is the entire arena a big lava pit? Or is it like a lake of lava with land all around it? ))

"Right. Everyone take a pack." he said gesturing to to ones her got.

"hey, are you alright!" Sano said, quickly.

Drew nodded. "We should get off of here before they do something.." he said, looking around at the other plates.

Noah decided to just go off his instincts and act impulsivly, he ran towards the left. And as he ran, his mind cleared entirely, as he reached the largest plate he'd seen yet he looked back, and saw the small groups of alliances all together. He caught eyes with Annika, nodded, and then kept on running.

Annika couldn't help but smile at Noah as he nodded at her. It was a tricky thing, but she knew she could trust him.

Noah smirked a bit, then he kneeled down to inspect his supplies. He had a pair of sunglasses, real sunglasses. Four water bottles. Some kind of cream. Matches, and a blanket. As well as an assortment of three. more knives. And a flash light, and rope. He'd made out exceptionally well. However he notced he had no food... Oh well, he'd cross that bridge when he came to it. He began to pack everything back up.

Kat looked over at Noah and blinked. Him? No, no, it was that other guy, Toker, who had sentenced Bree to death. Kinda. She stared at Noah from where she was

Annika looked at Kat, wondering what she was thinking.
