@bridgemama just shared this simple, yet yummy recipe for "Gingerbread Coffee" and it seemed perfect for Christmas, so I have to pass on the linkhttp://bookgraphics.wordpress.com/201...
No, not particularly steampunkish, but it'll keep you fuelled up while you work on steampunk projects -- or just try and survive the festivities :)
My daughter has a shop on Etsy. I've put her to work designing a "Winter Heart" necklace and earring set for me to use as a giveaway. No pictures of them yet. :( But when they are ready they'll be at: www.firebirdcreations.etsy.com
I LOVE gingerbread lattes, so I'm definitely going to have to give this gingerbread coffee a try. Love it!!
PG, your daughter's antique-style pearl earrings are beautiful. You lucky thing, getting an original design necklace to give away with Winter Heart. What a wonderful gift :)
Macabre but fascinating -- and you don't have to use the sugar to make a skull!"Multiculturalism for Steampunk" is a blog I follow via Facebook. Today, they have a post up on making Sugar Calaveras -- sugar skulls as part of celebrations for Mexico's celebration of the Day of the Dead.

Love Día de los Muertos! Whenever I go to Mexico I try to add to my collection of skeleton figurines.
Well, I'm sure we could link to photos. Uh...if I had one. Maybe when I get back from the conference I could post one. :) In the meantime, there's this: http://www.beso.com/day-dead-figurine...
I have a mariachi band, a writer (of course!) photographer & model, newlyweds, basketball player, lady in a bathtub...I forget what else. ;)

Steampunk Christmas cards! So I was thinking, even a craft fumblefingers like me ought to be able to cut and glue together some Steampunk Christmas cards. I attacked google to find out...and got sidetracked.
Aren't these gorgeous, such an array of styles? Steampunk Chrissie cards already made, buy on zazzle.

Other people's gift for craft really brightens my day :)
Wanna make a steampumpkin?http://www.neatorama.com/2011/10/28/s...
Don't blame me for the lame pun -- I borrowed it from a commenter on the post, but I kind of like it.
LOL -- if there were, I don't know that I'd eat it! Too many cogs and gears, and all that clockwork would get in my teeth :)
The stage fright would kill me! Does that excuse work with an actor, or are you more inclined to just tell people to "get over it" (the stage fright)?

@Elise -- I guess adrenaline kicks in, or something :)@Eleni -- busy procrastinating! steampunk is endlessly fascinating
I love christmas projects. I do stained glass and like to make ornaments. (although I haven't had the time to start any this year--hoping that maybe I'll get at least a couple of days to make a few)
You make stained glass? that stuff fascinates me. So beautiful. And definitely steampunk possibilities...hmm. The Victorians loved it.

Hi Jenny!
When I started seeing people coming to snag my GINGERBREAD COFFEE recipe from my site I had to find our who was spreading the word :) And BTW, I've got a STEAMPUNK eCover posted in my pre-made stock...and he's a cutie :) Take a peek - http://bookgraphics.wordpress.com/

@Bridgemama (having met you first on Twitter!) I'm glad I've addicted people to your gingerbread coffee. The perfect drink for the season :)I hadn't scrolled through all your pre-made covers before. I love the steampunk one. The guy in the gears is hot ... ahem, not a very professional comment ;) But the cover with the boat floating and the one with the golden retriever pup...gorgeous and memorable.
And I noticed you do romance trading cards. JK made the cards for "A Clockwork Christmas" for herself and the rest of us authors (and she did a great job), but now I know where I can point anyone who asks how they can get them designed (other tech doofuses like me!).
LOL, yes, I do it all. I tend to keep the pre-made covers a bit basic so I can keep the prices low. I spend my time on the custom covers. I'm thinking of putting up a crock-pot supper recipe for all those NaNoWriMo peeps soon :)
Ok, so this isn't really steampunk, but it is a neat idea for a gift bag, especially with Christmas around the corner. You could make it out of any paper your wanted...http://www.instructables.com/id/How-t...
I have started a Pinterest Board for collecting links to anything related to Steampunk Christmas. I'm adding new things to the board all the time. http://pinterest.com/lisarooney/steam...
Lisa, these are amazing. The steampunk angel is just gorgeous. Thank you so much for linking to it! What a wonderful collection.
Yes, I have been slack at keeping this group on a gentle simmer. I think I bit off more than I could chew with promo for "A Clockwork Christmas" (and definitely spent too much of my writing time on it), but I have no regrets because the steampunk and reading communities are so much fun. I've had (am having) the loveliest time chatting with you all (though, as I said, not so much here on Goodreads). Anyway, here's a fantastic post on decorating for the holidays, Steampunk style.http://ageofsteam.wordpress.com/2011/...

I'm one of the least craft-able people you'll meet. So I mightn't have ideas, but I'll share links to projects/sites I find and fall in love with. *ahem* Yes, this could be my excuse to spend way too much time on Etsy.
