COOKIES! discussion

Well, my mom is "retiring" which is a polite way of saying that she is losing her job as of Dec. 1 of this year. So, that means I will not be able to bake at all this year and it is really getting to me. With my lack of work for 5 years, and with other thing happening this year, money is just not there. For me, baking is therapy. I relax and really love it. I fell like a rug has been pulled out from under me.

*Sigh*

It HAS to get better, right?

Are any of you in the same position this year?

I am indeed baking this year, scaled back,but still able to bake thanks to one of my cousins who gifted me with a small Christmas check with the instructions to "buy baking supplies or what ever I wanted". So German Chocolate Carmel Bars, Drew's Almond Cookies and a new recipe (to be posted later) it is.
