Shannon (shananigansreads) I was just wondering if anyone is using the goodreadd recommendations feature? I browse through it often and have found lots of little goodies and extras for series I love and a few new books I want to give a try.

Cary (vortigern) | 344 comments I used to just wander throught the library in Phoneix and Tulsa. Looking for books in all departments that looked interesting. The Criminal Science dept was great. True stories of serial killers, and Al Copone. Then there where the writings of the anceints. Virgil the Anead. All the great classics. Books on different wars. I found myself more into real biographies and histories. But I like novels to. Among the odd books I found were a series of stories by Conan Doyale(Sherlock Holmes)that he wrote about the Brigadier. Ettene Gerard was a Hussar in Napoleons personal cavalry guard. The stories in Tales of the Brigadier are historic fiction. Really good and of course he is quite the ladies man. : )

Miranda (MirandaGabrielle) I've new and just found it recently. However, after I put in several of the books that I've read, it's made a lot of interesting suggestions. Some of them other books I've read, but haven't rated yet! It's scary how the computer can figure out by how you rate certain books what you're interests are, and then taylor-make some suggestions to you. However, I love to read, and this seems like another good way to find books. I'm with Cary - when I'm out of books, I have often just wandered the library shelves and tried new sections or authors just because something brought them to my attention on the shelf. You can find some good ones that way, but also several that weren't so hot. I'm a bigger fan of recommendations from friends, so this computer seems like something I'll give a shot to on a regular basis.

Cary (vortigern) | 344 comments Oh my must read book is on the war in Bosnia,Serbia/Hertzgovina & Chechneya. Written by Antony Loyd, a young Brit Photo journalist. It is called My War Gone By I Miss It So. Super poetic imagery of the time he spent covering the war, and destribing the people he lived, and worked with. Super!

Linore (linrose) | 5 comments I wanted to let all the fans of historical romance know that I've put up a new Kindle short for only .99 cents. It's perfect for that next snowy night at home (or day!). It's historical romantic suspense.

Coach and Four: Allisandra's Tale.
