She remained a mundane practically, knowing nothing of shadowhunters or the demons she was destined to kill. She hs no memory of her, and doesnt feel sorry about not missing him. In grammar school, she stood out horribly, having no friends. Books were her companions. She once was caught kissingher best friend in 6th grade, and was labelled the class 'dyke' for the rest of her academic career there. Her mother senther to the institute at the tender age of 14, hoping the north would rub off on her, and she could maybe do something productive in life, or so she claimed. Sunday believes her traitorious mother rid her hands of her, too afraid to accept what her daughter was. "Its what small town living does to the soul. History: She lives in the slum of Idris (Yes, hard to imagine but there is one) with just her tweaker mother. She's had a difficult life but would never ever tell anyone this. She puts on a brave face in front of people and pretends that everything is swell. She's a liar, but
she does it for the greater good. She wishes she could be like any rich person...and have
all her issues disappear. But, she loves the chase. The aspect of never knowing whats
going to happen tomorrow. She's known Draxx's charrie practically all her life, and
although not showing, she is extremely envious. She works at a shoppe near her house
most of the afternoon, scrubbing floors and cleaning and the like. She's basically the life
line of her family, and without her, they would not have an income. Her mother beats her for a different reason every night, usually things she didnt even do. She's afraid her mother will shun her if she knows about Felicity. She goes to a private school for young shadowhunters near her house, and despite being private, it isnt that expensive and it isnt that good. She just wants her mother to understand her, and not blame her for her dad leaving her mom. That seems to be the choiciest topic of the beatings. Her mother touched her once, but never did it again. She wonders if her womanly attraction is due to this, and despises her mom for yet again, making her different. she's drawn to Draxx's person. She makes sure that at least every other day she see's her. Its the only thing that confirms that life can only get better. Its the only thing that keeps her sane.

History: The Monsolen family ring is a pattern of suns rising behind mountains.
Monsolen means "the mountain sun." The Monsolen bloodline can be traced back to a time before the Nephilim. The Monsolen legend says that the name was first given to a warrior to honor him after a battle victory. He was said to be "strong and beautiful, like the mountain sun." The Monsolen bloodline crossed into Nephilim territory when the Shadowhunters were created. When the first institutes sprang up, the St. Petersburg institute in Russia was given to Evgeniy Monsolen. The Monsolens have run the St. Petersburg institute ever since and the Clave never objected because the institute was always run very well. The Monsolen family is known for their brilliant tactics and strategies, holding onto an institute for so long was no easy task!
The current Monsolens are Elena, her mother, Anna, Her grandmother, Katerina, her father, Nikolai, and her older brother, Andrei, who is seven years older than Elena.

Personality: Strong, independent, proud, arrogant a bit, witty and smart. She has a quick, fierce tongue and a fiery temper. She won't just sit back and let things unfold. She's going to take control of things herself. She believes that her strategy is ALWAYS right. She's a bit on the obnoxious side, but she knows what she's talking about.
History: Ainsley never could exactly sit still. Throughout her life, she was always playing the role of the rambunctious youth. She was one of the five daughters of the Sinclair family, who ran the Inverness Institute in Scotland. She was the loud mouth of the family, always stirring up trouble. She was trained at a young age in the art of Shadowhunter, so she's very experienced now. Not only was she the problem child, but she always was the brain and brawn of the family. She wasn't afraid to rough it out with the boys down by the Loch or study long nito the wee hours of morning for an upcoming rune test. But not everything was peachy down in Scotland. She grew up around people who discoruaged her and told her she was worthless. She just shrugged it off and kept going, often resulting in finding herself in some pothole of life. She'd study so hard, and when the time came to apply her skills for the real deal, she'd fail. This resulted in the death of her oldest sister, while they were out on a werewolf raid. She never really forgave herself for letting her sister injure herself like that. Thus, she gave up on hard work and turned to pleasures. Like brandy and cigarettes. Her parents began to worry for her and her well-being, as she soon slipped nito a depression. They shipped her off to an English Institute, trying to get her to adjust to life outside the family. This resulted in her hatred for the British. With nowhere else to really send her, the Sinclairs sort of gave up. Until one of their daughters travelled to America and spoke so highly of New York, did Ainsley have to leave. She was forced out and told that she would be allowed to come back in a year if she did not like it there. Well...here we are...

Age: Seventeen
Gender: Male
Appearance: He is of average height, standing at 5'10". Due to rigorous assassinations and trainings, Daniel has built up a muscular build, though still on the sligtly slim side. His hair is a jet black color, blending in with the night sky, with few streaks of a firery red color in them. It is of medium-length, resting just above his shoulders. His eyes are a strange hazel color, turning golden- red in the sunlight, and nearly black in the dark. He is covered in shadowhunter runes some of which are uniquely shaped in his own creative designs.
Personality: Daniel can be quite a contradiction. From acting lazily and arrogantly, blasting his obnoxiously loud rock music to being serious and focused, when training or killing demons. Though having a very laid back personality, he was a born warrior, and a fierce fighter. Whether you're a friend of his, or an enemy, not one can escape his banter. With sarcastic retorts and witty comments, he is a very difficult person to argue with.
Institute: New York
History: His mother was a human, and had died when he was very young, due to substance abuse. He is strongly against any drugs, from alcohol to nicotine, to demon drugs- he won't be caught near any of them. His father on the other hand, was a shadownhunter, quite high up in ranking until he was looked down upon for marrying a mundane woman. He chose to forget his shadowhunter past, though still telling stories about it to Daniel when he was very young. After Daniel's father died from suicide due to the grief of losing his wife, Daniel lived at the institute, ever since the age of 8.

Other: Though mostly focused in fighting, he is very artistic and creative, making some of his own runes. He is also very attached to his music, which helps him while he is training.
