This past summer a study was published that indicated avid romance readers have unrealistic expectations about relationships. (see at: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/romance-...) Bless Nora Robert's heart, she got so mad she donated a ton of money to a college in her hometown to offer a minor in romance literature! What do you make of this?

That can be said for any book or movie. It is whatever the reader takes away from it. Although, when I watch reruns of Gilmore Girls I do want to go live in Stars Hollow :)
Amy - I totally agree with you on living in Stars Hollow!!! As to romance readers and unrealistic expectations, I have had the experience that is almost the opposite. Most of the people I know who are avid romance readers have no delusions what so ever that their love life is going to be like the book. That is why they read the books, for a little escapism and fun. But maybe that is just my friends.
