I'm about 60% done now, and the new location (trying not to include spoilers) was totally unexpected. Kira is being tested in a whole new way from what I anticipated and I really like the strength she's showing! At this point, I'm pretty frustrated with her dad though.
As is Kira. :) Thanks for sharing - it's so fun to relive the book with people as they're reading it. Let's see...60%....do you think she should trust Simon?
Hi Susan. I started Open Minds today and couldn't put it down. I really like it. At the very first I thought that it sounded like it was going to be a little TOO different but I was wrong,it's good different. At the rate I'm going I should be done by tonite unless my hubby wants me around for something. Talk at ya later, gotta go read. ;-)
Hi Diane! Hearing that a reader can't put your book down is the coolest thing for an author, so thank you for that! My favorite books always seemed to be the ones that kept me up at night. I'd love to hear what you think of it when you're done! (p.s. reviews rock my socks) (p.p.s. maybe you're husband will read it too? :))
Hi Susan, I'm stoked about your Christmas special. I'm wondering how much of the story is based on romance? It helps to know in case of gift giving if its more focused opn paranormal or girl getting the guy.
@Kai Thanks!!
@Mary Great! Although Open Minds has romance elements, it's definitely not a paranormal romance - it's more an action/adventure story. Male readers seem to enjoy it as well as female, and reviewers are comparing it to Hunger Games (which appeals to both men and women). Any boy teen that likes SF should enjoy it, and there's enough romance that girls should like it too! :)

@jessie Thanks for not spoiling! I'd still love to hear what you think (if you want to PM me)! :)
