I am presently reading this book. I love the unique story and the fact it has nothing to do with vampires or werewolves. The main character, Jessica, is learning to overcome her fears. I love the fact the book revolves around a young lady who is struggling to become emotionally empowered. The characters are varied and 3 dimensional. I especially LOVE the grandparents because they are so hilarious. I also like the fact it's written in 1st person because it draws me more into the story. So far a great, clean read. It kind of reminds me of A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle.

Hi Jana! Thanks for posting and thanks for the great review of:LightMasters: Number 13 by M.G. Wells.
I checked out the Amazon description. Excerpt:
==========================================
"Jessica is a smart, bold courageous teen who discovers she has amazing powers on her 13th birthday. After her parents’ sudden death, Jessica is stuck living with her weird, gassy grandparents in a small town in upstate New York.
Constantly bullied by her harsh schoolmates, this Georgia girl feels like a total loser and outcast. Angry about being forgotten on her 13th birthday Jessica is lured into the forest by a strange spiral light.
In the woods she encounters three magical beings, who call themselves Lightmasters. The leader, Dragateen, tells Jessica she has special powers. Intrigued, she agrees to be transported to another dimension where she is tested for her courage, strength and ability to overcome intense obstacles. Life changes drastically when Jessica returns to earth. ..."
